The 4th is a big day for DB and I, this time last year we had just met. We set off fireworks together on the 3rd and he found out I was running in a 5k on the 4th last summer. He surprised me and showed up in full uniform and boots to run it with me(L). I always thought we would be running the one tomorrow together, but deployment got in the way lol.
Anyways, he's been asking me how my running has been going and saying how proud he's been of all the work I've put in. He just emailed me today and said he and his commander are going to run in one tomorrow in Baghdad and he's dedicated it to me because he's sad we can't run together:wub:sweetheart To be doing that in the middle of all that they have going on daily, I'm just totally blown away that he would be willing to do that to make it like we're doing it together.
I'm going to be so emotional for this darn race tomorrow, he's all I'll be thinking about:tears Good thoughts, but very sad too because I miss him terribly. July 4th 2008, I hope we get to run together once again(L)
