How does March 15th at 11am at Chili's in Portland sound? I was thinking either Chili's or La Iguana ( a yummy mexican food restaurant here). But Chili's would give everyone a variety of items to choose from.

Since we just had it in Corpus, I figured we could do it out here this time & make it easier for Cat to be able to stay a bit longer at.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww thank you sweetie. I appreciate you thinking of me. I just hope Breezy would want to come over this way. If more people though would rather go to Corpus thats fine too. Just go with the Majority. I know alot of us though live either in Portland or Ingleside now that we have Judy down here too. But i am more than willing to drive to corpus. I was just glad that i have understanding people to work for that let me take longer lunches that i can make up.

I just figured it would be nice to alternate areas. We've got about 3 ladies in Corpus & about 5 out in the Portland area. Instead of the ladies on this side of the bridge driving to Corpus this time, we could switch it.

Plus it would give you more time to actually be able to visit!

I don't mind driving to Corpus & carpooling as well.

well yeah i could still take a longer lunch cause it only takes me about 10 to 15 min to get to portland from work. and then i will have longer to visit. but i wouldnt want to be gone no more than 2 hours from work. in fact the ladies here at work did go to portland at chilis one day at work and i ended up taking more than a hour. but i think they see it, as long as i get my work done and show that i can make up my time if i need to they are okay with it. its not like my old job in VA

Chili's in Portland sounds good to me!!! Especially if I get that job!!! And I think that day should be feasable even if my IL's are still here cuz they will happily watch Quaint for me!!!

Both of my kid's will be in school that day. Even though Ashlynn was great yesterday, it would still be nice to chat with just the ladies! :)

yeah carpool would be nice. well when is it not the busiest for lunch at chilis. thats when i would like to be there so we dont have to wait so long. there isnt a whole lot i can eat there but i did manage to find something i can eat last time i went. so i would say either 1130am or 12 noon again.

oh 11am that would be okay with me since i know they wont be crowded but if 1130 is better for anyone else thats fine. we do have 1 lady that goes to lunch here at 11am. i couldnt leave until 11 am from work, but it would only take me a few minutes to get there and if i told someone what i wanted and they ordered it for me and make sure you tell them its a separate check that might work too. i have to just remember what i got last time. i think it was chicken something but i will have to look at their menu online again LOL

well we love having little lance around. he is just soooo cute. and he isnt any trouble at all. unless you would like to have a break every now and then during the daytime.

I don't mind the boys being there at all. Mine just happen to be in school that day.

The 17th is no good for me & I think that isn't good for Mandi either. But if that day works out better for you guys, then by all means we can change it to that day. ;)

Chili's said they'll have a table for us ready when I called to ask about it. I just have to call ahead to remind them. And I'll probably go a few minutes early just to make sure. And I don't mind waiting or order until everyone gets there. Or if you know what you want I can always order it when I get there like Cat mentioned. Or you all could always call me when you are on your way so I can order it then. That way it'll be ready when you get there or shortly after.

The Alamo maybe the River walk and actually ride the gondola (sp) this time lol. Just see things we haven't seen yet
When we came through back in 98 we took 11 days to get from WC to EC but we still had to pick and choose where we went ;) So the Alamo didn't make the final cut lol
but we did wind up staying right there at the river walk just didn't ride cause I was hungry:lmao and you don't mess with a preggo woman with morning sickness that is traveling :roflmao

My kids feed off of attention. They wouldn't let me "visit" I would have to eat and then leave. They don't sit and behave.

You can not make reservations at Chili's. They will only let you call in & put your name on the list if there is a wait already.

And I don't mean to be rude but we have to be careful of how many people we invite. I already told them that we'd have a party of 20 & that's going to be hard enough with it being lunch time. The manager said if we have any more people than 20, we're going to have to wait awhile to be seated. Otherwise, the extra people are going to have to sit at their own table. I'd hate it if other people that are now being invited to have to sit at another table away from us.
