3 packages of Jello containing sugar
2 1/2 cups vodka

Bring the water to a boil and remove from heat. Slowly stir in the Jello until dissolved. Wait 3 minutes, then stir in the vodka.

OMG, I love them... We used to go by colors, and have stronger shots as you worked your way through the rainbow. They need surprisingly little water to form. :D

If you add a splash of Pucker in whatever flavor they are it makes them 100% better & that is hard for Jell-o shots! :lol

One time, a friend of mine threw this massive bbq party and we ran out of jello shots. He and I drank approximately 80% of what was originally made, and there was a lot, so needless to say we were SMASHED when we tried to make more.

We thought we had already added the water, so we added the vodka. Turns out the water we THOUGHT we had already added was also vodka.

They wouldn't gel and we could NOT figure out why.

Till the next morning.

I worked at this little hole in the wall bar, and their specialty was jello shots!! They ALWAYS had a jello-girl, and every waitress had to be jello-girl before she could move on to serving real drinks.
There were so many flavors! Candy cane and chocolate covered cherry for christmas(there were chocolate and cherries IN the jello)...etc.

I'll dig up those recipes later, if y'all want them :)

Just want to clarify, I have to put them in the freezer, not the fridge? DH & I have never tried them :no and I want to make them for his homecoming. TY.

You can use the shells of oranges and lemons and fill them with the Jello shot mixtures. Once they cool, you can slice them to look like orange and lemon slices. They're delicious! I use them as my party signature "drink"

Heck yes I do!!!!!!

I had forgotten about this thread:lol

I'll email one of my friends who still works there to get the exact amounts. Mind you, everything I post will be a recipe for 50 individual shots.

I made jello "shots" once, except they were a lot more than just a shot once i measured them out..oops! so that night i went around just eating jello, and everyone kept asking when i was going to drink, yet by the end i was already drunk! :blush

Never had them but I plan to make them for DH's Homecoming (just for the 2 of us). What's the best jello flavor to make it with and where can I buy the disposable cups? I don't think I could make those orange slices. I'd definitely mess it up.
