Seriously, I am so glad I found this site because otherwise I'd never have known about the flat rate boxes. If I only got THAT from here, I would still be happy. :yes

I also use flat rate....and when I've shipped other things in larger boxes it seems to be around $1 per pound....I've never sent anything and it cost that much....

But I do hope that he loves it, I sent my hubby 2 birthday boxes, One had cake in jars and candles and that type of Party stuff, then the other had dvd's and such like that as his "gifts"...

Maybe they were standing on the scale when they weighed the pkg too? I honestly can't figure out how it can be that expensive unless those were some heavy Jolly Ranchers!

I can't believe it was $65 to ship..that's crazy. Please look into flat rate boxes. Sure they're small, but they only cost $8.95 per box, regardless of how much it weighs.
