Hey for all you ladies who have sent the "cake in a jar" to your SOs...

I want to put together a birthday party care package for DBF. I know I want to do some "cake in a jar", frosting, candles, decorations, cameras, party favors. I also want to send presents.

Do you think it would work better to send the "party supplies" in one flat rate box and the presents in another? I haven't bought the jars yet, so I am not really able to measure.

THANKS!

Thats what I did.....that way I was able to wrap the jars in bubble wrap so that nothing broke.... and he enjoyed getting 2 boxes.... In the first I put all the party favors and cake and stuff.....then the other had the presents.... or you could get a bigger box and put it all in one......but you'll pay more shipping (for me it usually averages around $1 per lb) to ship.......

yeah thats what i did. i wrapped the jars in newspaper and then also used those packing peanut things so they wouldn't clang together and break and i put all the "party in a box" crap with it and the presents in the other. i mean, who doesnt like getting two presents?!? and he LOVEEEDDD that cake by the way! good luck!:hungry

Thanks! I think I may actually have access to bubble wrap at work? I will have to check on that! His July 4th package ended up being one "food" and one "fun". How many cakes do you normally send?
