if you had to choose between buying yourself food, or buying your pet food, which would you do?

there have been times when i had to choose between buying myself something to eat, or buying a bag of dog food. and you better believe i walked out of that store with a bag of dog food.

maybe that sounds weird to some. but he's like my child. and who wouldn't feed their child before they fed themselves?

i'd pick my dog up some food.

I'd feed Rigby before I fed myself.

id feed marley first as well. id probably maybe go to the humane society and ask for help.

I'd feed my pets. All I need is water.

id feed my ctas even if i had to go to the dollar store to get them threw! and my rats well they can eat whatever i can manage to scrounge up!

I would make something for both me and my kitty! :D she looooved eggs and the vet said it was ok to give them to her as long as she liked them, so most of the time I would make scrambled eggs for us in the morning :D

I always made sure my cats ate before I did, they were like my kids so of course I would think of them before myself.

Thankfully at this point I can buy food that would feed both me and my babies. They all eat a big variety of veggies, so I'd be able to buy one thing that would feed us all :). However, if I did have like a dog or a baby that required more specific food, I would most definitely put them first. I took responsiblity for their life, and I will keep my responsibility to make sure they are taken care of.

I would feed my babies before myself in a heartbeat. There's no question at all on that one!

I have lived off of tuna before simply because it is what my babies love & I can (but don't really like to) eat it. They come first 'cause, especially with DB gone, they keep me sane. (L)

If I couldn't afford to give my child or animal a life financially, then I'd consider adoption.

Alot of people (including myself) feel that when you have a pet, you take it on for life, not just at your convenience, so they would be willing to go without food in order to feed their pet.

I feel that way too Kristen, but too bad there aren't food stamps for animals. :(

ETA: I am an animal lover. :)

When I was younger I know my dad wouldn't eat sometimes cuz it just wasn't there. But there was never a day the dog went without. That dog and my dad were incredibly close.

*just wanted to clarify, my brothers and I always had food. it was my ma and pa that went without sometimes

:dunno IMO, I wouldn't put myself in that situation.
