DUI meaning Dialing under the influence :wink
Ok so this is gonna sound weird and its prolly gonna be long.
I posted a long time ago (at the beginning of his AIT he now has 2 weeks left) that D/b had planned since he was young that he wouldn't get married until he graduated college. He is going to be 26 this august and he made some mistakes earlier in his college career but I met him after he got back on track. I was the one that really promoted the military and the only one of his friends and family that was supportive about it. Now he has 2 more years in college and still plans on waiting to marry me until then. I personally don't think I should be put in his little box of plans since I kind of came in and blew all of his plans out of the water. He has told me numerous times that if it wasn't for me he wouldnt have a chance at med school and he would have never got into the military or made it through. Anywho so I talked to him about why I thought we should get married a year earlier. I let it be and let him mull it over for the past 3 months.
So anyways I get a call from him the other night and he was DRUNK. The DI's decided to pull an inspection on their last weekend off until graduation so they were pissed and went out drinking. Now he has not said anything about marrying me since I brought it up last. He starts telling me how he has been contemplating asking me to marry him, that he wants to marry me soon. My b/f is really shy about anything intimate but he started talking about our honeymoon which was hilarious. he told me to start getting limber now because the things he was going to do to me. I couldnt stop laughing. I kept dragging him back to when he was going to pop the question and he kept saying he hadn't decided but very soon. This got me all excited except that it was very unromantic, slurred and actually hilarious.
The next day when i reminded him of some of the things he said he got really quiet and embarassed (with good reason lol). I didn't grill him about wanting to purpose but I did ask and he clammed up and wouldnt say anything about it. I am thinking it was because he hasn't decided and wasn't ready to talk about it, or he is seriously contemplating it but wanted it to be a surprise. Do you think I am looking to far into this? I haven't been around too many drunk ppl but they tend to be very truthful and divulge more than usual.
Lol he was also telling everyone he ran into how awesome his g/f was (which he does sober but not with so much urgency and excitement). he doesn't remember that either but his buddies do. He also turned down cookies from another girl because he told her that might jeopardize our relationship (still drunk) which is hilarious because he knows I am not worried and because the boy loves cookies more than I love chocolate. Anywho, I needed to ask yall's opinion on this do you think it was the alcohol talking or his actual feelings coming out because of his inebriated uninhibited state? I know its unromantic but I wanna know if I am in his head now ;)
