My dh came in this past April for R&R, after he left I started drinking really bad and still do and I never go into are bedroom only to get clothes out so i have been sleeping on the couch since then. well a week ago I just couldnt take it anymore on the couch with 2 dogs so I started to sleep in the bedroom again, I know it might seem crazy but I'll I have been doing since I started sleeping in there is sleep all day. Like today I woke up at 3:00pm and got on here, fixed something to eat, let the dogs outside to play for abit and then its right back to bed and did not get up intill 10:00 tonight. This has happen for the past week...I thought I would get out of this habbit after the 2nd time but it just seem I cant. I feel so bad cause my dogs are suffering from this shit 2...Has anyone else went through this, sleeping all day???

Yes. Usuallly its when my depression is bad. I think you should talk to your Dr. about it.

PM me if you need to talk about anything!!

sounds more like seperation anxiety. Of course I don't know anything about your history, if you have actual depression then yeah it prolly an imbalance. Honestly though I did this after I went to see d/b for graduation and had to go back home knowing i wouldn't see him again for another 3 months. I just wanted to sleep and dream. I don't drink because I am too scared to drink and drive and I hate drinking by myself too. I personally don't like blaming everyting on clinical depression when life can be hard enough without a doctor cramming medication down your throat. I would suggest seeing a therapist or getting out and forcing yourself to be energetic and be out in the sun. I had depression when I was in highschool and one of the things they had ppl do is sit in front of a box that simulated the sun's light. It helps increase seratonin levels. the alcohol is also a depressant so you may want to save that for special occassions ;) Thats my opinion but not an expert opinion. If you feel like you should see a doctor i suggest you go with that feeling. Also don't forget about the puppies they love you too :D

I agree that medication is not the answer for everything. But a lot of times a Dr. can suggest a good therapist. I went to them throughout my whole childhood.
