Nope, hubby was on the McCain but would kill for orders for the Blue Ridge, it doesn't go out nearly as much as the others because it's the main comm ship!

DH is ready for stateside orders... but has a while to wait... They have been out since the end of May and will be out for a while longer. Seems like they are out about 6-8 months of the year depending on which year!

Hubby is an FC but the Blue Ridge doesn't do things like the Korea watch, etc and they were still home quite a bit.

they just travel the Pacific Rim, keeping good vibes between the other countries and us. He's got 1.5 years left on the Blue Ridge.

Eh, I hope it flies for you!

Aren't they due for dry dock here pretty soon? They had it in what 2004? I remember because my best friend's hubby was on it and they had like 9 months of dry dock, haha!

I will have to ask DH... he hasn't mentioned anything... he said something about one of the other boats going into Dry dock though.

Eh, when hubby was on it (he was with the det that worked on the helicopters) he gained 1 1/2 years of sea time in the 3 year assignment. Even though they didn't go out for 6 monthers, they were out a lot!

They sure are... 1 week, 3 weeks, 12 weeks... they are out and about a lot!

:lol The Blue Ridge! My husband had to deal with that ship when we were on Hawaii and he was at JICPAC/COMPAC and I know someone who was going to be on it. I think now though he has to change his orders.
