I met DH through a mutual friend at a party a while back. :)

My DH was my Navy Recruiter.

He was a friend with one of my friends and he came to a play that i was in then after words we went out to supper and he came back to my place and we watched a movie and he asked me out.

We were both in the Navy, in our respective A Schools, but on the same base. My boyfriend, of all people, introduced us, and when my boyfriend left (he got out of the Navy), Chris & I started dating. The rest, they say, is history!

My best friend had been telling me for awhile about her hot brother in the army yadda yadda but I didn't pay it much thought cause I was still interested in my ex. One day she called me to come up to the shop where her brother worked and as soon as I saw him I fell head over heels and apparently it was mutual. :)

We met at a concert at a local festival. I kept telling my mom how cute he was.. and she called him over to where we were sitting.. She told him I thought he was cute, and he said he thought I was too.. we've been together ever since. Hard to believe that was almost 8 years ago!

Here's my story.

I was 3 months pg (and showing!!) My brother was in Iraq so I was hanging out with his gf. We went to her friend's house for a little party. DH came to hang out. I was looking through his cd's and saw he listened to Flogging Molly, too (which nobody does in La.) and we clicked right then and there. I knew I had found a keeper (but not because of the band. That was just what caught my attention...and his!!)

We got introduced by my pal and her boyfriend. I had just moved here and didn't know my way around or anyone other then her and her and her boyfriend wanted to spend some alone time together:P My DH and her boyfriend lived in the same dorm building and were halfway friendly, so between the two of them they arranged for DH to hang out with me and show me around a bit so that my pal and her boyfriend could go and ya know......And we've been together ever since!!!

I met him through a good friend who was dating his roommate at the time - It was her birthday and she took me along to her boyfriends- mean her and her boyfriend went back to his room to give her some birthday "love" and David and I were left out in the living room together with no choice but to get to know each other. and 8 years later here we are with a 4 year old son and just got married April 1st

There's a thing called Christian Challenge (huge praise service) at my university. My freshman year here, a friend and I decided to try it out and were overwhelmed by the amount of people there (about 500) and didn't know where to sit. I looked up, the first person I saw was a cute boy with curly hair and a Weezer T-shirt. I said "LET'S SIT BY HIM! HE'S CUTE!" and got all giddy. I was too silly and dumb to sit *by* him so we sat *behind* him (:giggle). Anyways. Turns out that that is DH. My friend ran up to him and introduced ourselves afterwards (while I was blushing madly but secretly ecstatic that I had such a great friend) and we hit it off immediately. There's more to the story and if you care to read it, it's in my profile....:)

I was his little brother's sitter when he moved back into his mom's house. 5 months later, he was mine.

Oh yeah...and DH's side of the story that I found out many months later....he was sitting by himself at Christian Challenge and saw 2 really cute girls (us although he "claimed" he thought I was cuter because of my little skater-style...) coming up to where he was sitting. He was secretly hoping we'd sit by him but we didn't. And the whole time I didn't even think he noticed us! :lol

We met on a local website and he was in Kuwait. We talked everyday for 7 months then I went Italy and we found out that our true love was totally true.

me and Kevin met in highschool when i was a junior and he was senior. i was actually dating his kinda sorta friend Mike (lol) who was a complete DICK though... and i was always crying and upset because he treated me like shit and cheated on me and Kevin was always the one to comfort me and make me feel better he was so perfect. finally i wised up and dumped that douchebag and me and Kevin started hanging out literally EVERY DAY and became best friends and then we fell in love from there :sweetheart and here we are over 3 years later :smitten(L):cloud9

His dad and my mom used to rodeo together. And my uncle and his uncle were roommates in college. And yet, we didn't get together because of them. A mutual friend of ours figured out just how much alike we are, and decided to hook us up. She played matchmaker, and it worked! The minute we sat down and talked for a few minutes, we both fell in love! I swear it's true! We've been inseparable ever since (well, except when he had to go back to Iraq)! And now his parents and mine are amazed and so happy that their children are going to be getting married to each other!

Jer and I met in August 2004 when he was home on leave. He had a super cool car, so his brother asked him to drive him around for a date with his girlfriend and her chaperone(ME!). They showed up at my house, DH got pissed because he thought I was hot and that I was his brothers girlfriend...and then got unpissed when he found out that I was the chaperone. We started talking that night, got forced to hang out with each other the next weekend also, and then before he left for korea he gave me his email address so I'd have someone to vent to about his bro and GF. I emailed him 2 days later and we've now been together for 3 years!
I came to find out later that DH snooped into his brother's email and wrote down my email in case I didn't email him so he could email me:P and also went through our school directory and had my phone number, addy, etc.

Finally, senior year, one of our good friends realized that we had no idea who the hell the other one was (probably because we have common names and kept getting confused when she talked about the other). So, she sent him on a mission to my lunch group, where my (now) roommate introduced us, and the rest just kinda fell together. History, as they say. (L)

He looked so lonesome, so I told one of my friends that they should invite him over. So, she did and he sat across from me. We were all talking for a bit, and then my friends left. I was a little ticked, because I didn't want to be there by myself with him :lol. Anyway we continued talking, and then he invited me to go play pool. So, I did and then he asked for my number. When we moved back here a few weeks ago, we took the kids to the resturant, and told them that this is where we met. We even showed them the same booth we met in :lovestruck. The kids thought that was the coolest.

It was him and we have been together for over 10 years and happily married almost 9 of those!!! Oh and yes he was a player and tried dating me and 2 other women.... I had JUST finished a week from hell(summer school course for 8.5 hrs a day... i was at school for 12 hrs/day some days plus 3 hrs of studying and reading every night...EW), called my friends to tell them i needed to do something fun, so they were like "come out with us! we'll set you up with a blind date!" so they convinced me finally(i went into it saying i was not going to date, much less have a relationship, this summer)... I was set up with their friend David who could hardly say a word to me the whole night haha. Josh(my db) and my friend Jess seemed to have a good time, and I told her how lucky she was to have such a fun and cute guy. Later that night he insisted upon giving me a hug because david had left and he thought I could use one.:hugs then on the way home, he called my friend Ash, and she acted like it was David passing on the message that he liked me and wanted to see me again...

But really it was Josh saying he thought I was absolutely adorable and wanted to see if i would give him my number! For a few days I was against it because I didn't want to date anyone in the first place, especially someone that my friend liked! He constantly was talking to ash about me, and i must have heard 100 times that he thought I was THE most adorable girl he had ever seen and that he is just crazy about me! I was dating my ex boyfriend at the time, and me and my girls went to the beach during the day then decided we would go out to this country western dance hall that I really didn't like, but it's close to home. We were all just sitting around a table talking, a group of probably twenty of us, and my ex had just texted me saying he decided to go to a bar that was halfway to Mexico; so needless to say I was pretty pissed off, and this goofy drunk as heck guy walks up to our group and asks if any girls would like to dance. I had been complaining all night about my boyfriend not showing up so I didn't have anyone to dance with so I was volunteered.

We danced probably 20 - 30 times that night, talked the whole time while we were dancing, and at last call, before he could ask I gave him my phone number, not expecting him to call. He called me as soon as I got in my car, then called me the next morning. I let him know I had a boyfriend but it was going down hill, and I was really sorry if that hurt him or wasn't what he was expecting. He stayed by me, we ended up meeting in a Walmart parking lot.. our first kiss was him kissing his hand and touching my forehead because I still technically had a boyfriend, haha.. and... now we're happy! :)

I met mine online too...he was stationed in HI and I lived in Toronto, Canada. We chatted online for 6 weeks before we decided to meet while he was on the mainland to visit his daughter. He tried to fly into Toronto but the airline wouldn't let him change his flight, so he flew all the way to IA and started to drive toward Toronto. I started drving toward him and we ended up meeting in East Lansing, MI! We hopped out of our cars and into each others arms and that was it for me. I knew from that second he was the one. We started looking for rings the next day, and we were married 9 months later.

He came to work for me as a new lifeguard. Let's see, boss>friends>loves>married. Benn together since 07/10/96. Most of my friends thought we'd never make it because we are such total polar opposites, but hey, here we are, still!

YAY FOR ALL THE LADIES MEETING THEIR MEN ONLINE!!!!!

I met Andy while playing Everquest. I needed someone to tank (beat things up) for me and saw that he was LFG (looking for group) so I sent a message to him. While we were in the group together he kept flirting with me, so I decided to flirt back. We then started talking on MSN and seeing each other on cam. He decided that he wanted to come and visit me when he was on leave last January. As soon as I saw him, I knew there was something special about him. Last May he decided I was his baby. Ever since then we have been inseparable. (with the exception of the deployment)

Mine is a little complicated... LOL.

I met my friend Gretta online (in a chat room) back in like 1998. Through talking we became friends and found out that we grew up near the same area. Whens he came down to visit her family we met and had lunch and became closer friends. After my parents died some of my family members moved into the house they owned and I was going BONKERS, so I moved up to Idaho with Gretta. A few months after I moved in with her, her brother called from training in Louisiana to say Happy Thanksgiving to her. She told him over the phone that she found him a wife and he had to marry me. LOL. Later that night he hopped online when I was on there and we talked all night long. We kept talking almost every night for about a month, and at the end of January (2002) he requested leave and came out to visit. We were immediately inseparable. He took leave again in February and proposed on the last day of his visit, and then took leave again in April and we got married. I finally moved up to Washington (Fort Lewis) with him in June. We have been happily married now for 5 years!

I could write a novel, but I will attempt to shorten it.....
Ryan *dh* came in to church one morning ( may 11) and I found out he had just moved to town for college. I was so crayz about him from the second I saw him, he was just all hot and sexy in the suit he was wearing! anyway, I told mom he was sexy, she invited him to lunch after church, he came to lunch, I was too shy to talk to him, My brother invited him fishing. He went. Went to church that night and he went out with us again for supper. I was madly in love. We went on a fishing/camping trip the next weekend and my bro asked him to go (may 16-18)* i even did his laundry so he could go, im telling ya i was crazy* Said he would go and that next night( may 17)we took a break and my mom and bro and us went to a church service in his hometown and I met his mom and family. He told his mom he loved me and wanted to marry me. He begged me to sit in the back seat with him on the way home so I did and fell asleep on his shoulder.We were inseperable from then on. (L) That next night( may 18) he kissed me. (L) The next week (may 25) he said "I know its crazy, weve only known each other a week but :lovingyou " So we dated a few weeks, knew we wanted to be together forever. Decided we were goin to get married after he finished school. Mom pitched a fit (for an unknown reason to this day ) I told her I didnt care, moved out, moved all my stuff to his place and stayed with friends. He proposed officially (august 27). Mom finally chilled and I moved back home. We got married Nov 15th and have been for almost 4 years now !!! They said we would never make it, and though we have had rough times, here we are today!!!! 4 1/2 years together and almost 4 married and an adorable 17 month old lil girl!!!! Yea we met in May married in November ! lol

Well I met my wife online in a gaming website playing battleship. The funny thing is, we played 1 game and stayed in there for 5 hours talking. She beat me at the game though. We only lived 3 hours away from one another in the same state, IL. We also are exactly 2 months apart in age. My birthday is March 9th and hers is May 9th which May 9th is my parents wedding anniversary so we got married on my moms birthday. It started out as a joke but we ended up doing it anyways. I had just moved to Arkansas to help my best friend out with her son, my god son(Sept of 2005). As I had just gone through a REALLY nast divorce, I was NOT looking to meet anyone!!!! Well, I had only been here for about 36 hours and my pal decided that she wanted to go and see her bf and get some lovin, but since I didn't know my way around or anything, that was kinda not an option:giggle. She told her BF and he COMBED his dorm building looking for someone for me to hang out with while they were busy-and found Paul(DH). He had just gotten back from Iraq and this was only like, the 2nd time the 2 guys had spoken! He aggreed, so we went over there and he told me which room was Paul's so I went up to meet him, thinking "Man, I got pawned off on this poor guys who's probably a jerk(hating men at this point)." Well, he opened the door and I literally went, Duh......!! He was so DAMN GOOD LOOKING!!! I was drooling! Well, we took my pal's car and went driving around and just talked the entire time. My pal finally called and asked whare were were and so we all met up and went out to dinner, whare me and him just had a blast chatting and joking around. At the end of thenight, I didn't give him my number-I wanted to but didn't want a relationship, and he didn't ask. On our way hom, my pal and I were talking about it and I guess he had told her bf that he thought I was"AMAZING" and I told her I thought the same thing of him, but we didn't exchange #'s and she about beat me!!! So I called her BF and got his number and then I called him and thanked him for being so nice to me, and he asked me out to dinner. We went and then he told me that he thought I was wonderful, and "pure bliss to be with"-even though I was a yankee(he's from TX and I'm from SD). And since then we haven't been apart! We got engaged in December(yes, 3 months later) right before we went to meet his family for Christmas, and married in May of 2006!! I jus laugh because I was so Anit men when we met and he swept me off my feet!! But I loved every minute of it and him and I wouldn't change it for the world-since we met, we haven't spent more then 24 hours apart(until he left). And I love him to death!! Can't get enough!:P

I told her to text that he was a wuss. :duh She tossed me her phone (her baby was getting cranky) and I told him what kind of wussy soldier drank a Sex on the Beach? He was like "who the hell is this?" And it just went from there. We texted (from my friend's phone) that night, and again the next night (from her phone) until I told him I was stealing his number from her so I could text him on my phone. The next day, he called me (totally unexpected, I figured he'd be the random guy in another state I texted often) and something clicked.
About 5 weeks later, I flew out to Kentucky to meet him (we had already figured we were falling the heck in serious like) and when I saw him, I knew it was serious love. Ok, so we've only "known" each other since Memorial Day weekend, but it's just right. I'm leaving to move to KY very soon, so that we can spend time together before his deployment.

Freshman year of high school, he was my best friends boyfriend. They only dated for a couple of weeks, and once they broke up we remained friends for 8 years. Last March, he asked me if I wanted to go to dinner. I had horrible butterflies in my stomach, because I've been in love with him for years and never really could tell him. I always dropped hints, and said little things that would make him see how I felt. I would tell my friends that all I needed was for him to see that he and I are actually meant to be together.

He came to pick me up at my house, and my knees were shaking. We had a wonderful time out, he touched my cheek, and I know it sounds so cheesey, but I got chills.

After that, I knew I couldn't let him leave without knowing how I felt. After he left my house, he called me to tell me that he couldn't wait to see me again....and since then, we've been inseparable.

It has been a little over a year since we've been together, and he still gives me chills when he kisses me, when he touches my cheek, and when he whispers in my ear. This boy definately makes me weak in the knees just by looking in his eyes....

my elmo and i met online in a chat room when he was 13 and i was 12, we talked on the internet and chat room for 5 years and then met when we was in virgina! hes not only my best friend but my soul mate!

It's actually amusing but I met my boyfriend online because of my old co-worker. She made up a profile for me on bp.com (I think) and certain messages she would response to. Then our gay co-worker told me everything she was doing and I saw the message checked out his profile. We chatted on the phone, online and then started hangin out and just became really good friends. We were friends for 4 years and just made it official on March 25, 2007. Of course I had to make the first move :attack but pretty much haven't had to make the first move since then. :lol He treats me like a Princess (even if he is in Korea) and he'll continue to be the love of my life!!!!

I met my DH online. WHen i first got the internet about 9 years ago, I was checking out some chat rooms to see what they were all about... he was in the chat room and said he was in San Diego. I asked him what city and it turned out that he lived within walking distance from me. We talked online for a couple months before i agreed to meet him in person. Once we did, we saw each other every single day for about 3 months before we had a day without spending time together. We just clicked right away.

He was stationed at Fort Stewart, next to my art school and was a regular at the restaurant that I worked at. He had his eye on me and I never paid him any attention bc I didnt want to get into anything with a military guy (not having any faith in my strength to survive such a relationship). He finally tried hitting on me and I was completely unreceptive. He kept trying though and I kept having none of it. My best friend ended up dating his best friend and forced me to hang out with them one night. That was the first night I actually SAW him. We talked in the bar til 3am and then laid on the beach til 7am, where there was lightening over the water and everything was out of a movie. It was his last night before he left for a month for selections. We fell hopelessly in love on that beach and its been prefect for a year.

We met our Sophmore year but didnt start dating till the beginning of our Senior year. Then he joined the military and we broke up for a while(his choice) and then we got back together and got married Jan 05. Our friends and family still sometimes cant believe we are married. We met at school, he was a transfer from one of the other high schools and a friend of mine brought him into our lunch crew. We got along right away and I was sold after I saw him in his ROTC uniform. Now I'm just waiting for him to get back from basic so we can become an "official" bf/gf thing. He was too afriad I'd be unfaithful while he was away so he just promised he'd ask me out when he got back if we both still wanted to commit to it.

Rodney and I were both in the Navy stationed at NAS Barbers Pt, HI. We knew each other for about 2 yrs as just friends and were both active in this Kareoke group at the Enlisted Club. Around Oct/Nov of 1990 he came back from a 4 month deployment in California and we started spending more and more time together. Finally around April of 1991 we decided we really were attracted to each other (We were both trying to deny it severely since we both swore we would never date or marry another redhead...haha!). We began dating and around Sept decided we wanted to get married. We had planned to marry the following summer after I made a decision of whether I wanted to stay in the Navy or get out, but then in October I found out I was pregnant, so we decided to get married in December on Christmas Eve. I got out of the Navy since Rod knew he wanted a career and I knew that I didn't want to end up on the boat with a new baby at home. Since then it has been bliss....haha....NOT! There is actually more to our story. When we were stationed in Hawaii the next time 2000 - 2004, Rodney and I actually got divorced in April of 2003 and I moved with the kids back to Texas. After several months of counseling for both of us and visits from Rod to us in Texas, we decided we loved each other too much and decided to get married again. We married again in Hawaii in June 2004.
So, we have our own interesting story to tell! I would have never thought at the time that we got divorced that we would get married to each other again. But the Lord works in mysterious ways and I am ever so grateful.(L)

I met him in highschool. He was a friend of my ex bf's little brother who I got really close to while going out with my ex. My DH was a lil shy but I was a senior so had pretty much opened up through the years and I just kept on talking to him. :teehee

during the end of my sophmore year he started coming over to my house to hang out with my brother. my brother brings a lot of friends home and i have never seen him before. so as i was coming home late one night i walked up to the stairs and my brother and DB were standing outside on my driveway near the basketball court just standing there. i was like, whatever. so i went to my room.. and then i had to go outside to the kitchen cos i was hungry n i saw them sittin on the couch.. i thought OMG he's so cute. so he started coming over more and i'd find every excuse to come outside of my room because i usually don't since the computer is in here and all that jazz. finally they both came into my room to use the comp, and me and DB started talking .. and BOOM, the rest is history....

that was in 2005, we were on and off again for a while. now official! :grin

hehe i met db online...the details are kind of fuzzy we cant remember if it was myspace or something else but! he was stationed on guam and i was here in lovely cali and we chatted for THREE YEARS until he finally got stationed in san diego my ex db and i broke ip who was ALSO in the navy ( i told db i was swearing off military boys:S) and db had been with me through a couple rebak ups at this point as a friend and an amazing listener lol so we joked about getting together but he said he didnt want a girlfriend blablabla he got two weeks leave b4 going to san diego and his parents were taking his little sister on a grad trip to alaska so he had a whole week with nothing to do...jokingly i said well why dont you come up here for a week well he did and the first night he told me he wanted me to be his gf and he knew i was the kind of girl he always wanted to marry...lol last month when i was visiting him i asked him if i had told him we would have fallen in love and making plans to get married a year ago if he would have beleived me and he said NO WAY so of course i asked why and he said i didnt want a girlfriend at all i asked him what changed his mind and he said you...i knew right away AWWWWW lol and whenever hes talking about not being in the navy he always says but if i wasnt in the navy i never would have net you and that makes it worth it :P:P:P:):):) hes so cute I love him!

It just evolved into more without us realizing it. He moved in with me about 6 months later and we've lived together since. Then in May 2007 he decided to join the Army.
