I've been freaking out about school this year, for a lot of reasons. One of the biggest being that I'm getting an apartment with my best gf and it's gonna be more expensive than we were hoping. And farther away from school than I wanted.

Well, long complex story short - I get money from the VA for school because of my dad. It's taken forever to get it through, but I get it for next year. Well, when the change to my fafsa went through my school (which had already screwed me on fin. aid compared to last year) yanked essentially the same amount of money as my VA money out of my fin. aid plan. Which, they're not really supposed to do. :fight

Anyway, after the extreme panic that caused, it turns out that my school does their fin. aid thing crazy (just the way it's set up), and were already counting (roughly) my living expenses for the year as well. So, my VA money can still go to that. :whew :bliss

So, I'm not gonna have to work full-time next year! (Thank gods!) I'll probably still get a part time lab-ish job, but I was planning that anyway. I'm just way less stressed about the whole thing now. Way, way less stressed.

Right, thanks for listening to that (still pretty long) story. Yay to slightly less stress! :weee

That's great! FT school and FT work is very stressful, so I am glad you won't have that load on your shoulders!

Congrats on the apartment! :fetti

Fin Aid sucks... and reading their little reports never makes sense either.

Glad things are working out for you! I'm sure you're excited to move into your new place with your best friend, and you won't have to deal with roommates you don't like. :)
