I get cabin fever so easily... What type of (relatively inexpensive) things are their to do in Hampton Roads when it rains? ... I know.. museums, we have a ton of them, but what else?

This rain sucks, but the thunder and lightning is kinda fun...LOL!!!

we paint and try to do some crafts stuff, also my boys are old enough to do models. sometimes we stay in our PJ's and have a movie day when there is no school, if its a weekend and DH is home we go to a muesum or a movie. the kids hate it but sometimes i make it a cleaning day and they have to help clean the whole house. its raining today we are doing movies and popcorn i am going to clean the bathrooms and maybe take a nap. i am recovering from a month worth of guest and preparing for DH to get home. good luck. in great lakes the youth center had playgroups and such i am not sure if they do that down here.

Check a base near you for an indoor pool. Another idea is the Children's Museum in Portsmouth, if you have not gone already. That place is so neat.

I'm gonna take DD to the carousel in Hampton then wing it from there. The sun is coming out so we might hit Buckroe just to take a walk :)

Thanks for the ideas
