I'm not preggo BUT my sister is, she's about 13 14 15 weeks, I dunno somethin like that! She went to the dr and the dr told her she most likely had chronic hypertension...i didn't want to feel like a COMPLETE idiot :scared so I didn't ask my sister any questions about....so i'll ask you ladies, what exactly IS it? i'm assuming it's got something to do with high blood pressure...will it affect the baby in any kind of way? is my sister at risk? i'm a first time auntie and she's already had a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy so I want this baby to be nice and healthy, she just got married on the 14th and i want the blessings to keep rolling in! (even though I can't do anything about it :depressed)TIA!

It's basically high blood pressure... just as long as her doctor has her on a good management protocol she should be fine! 1 in 4 women will end up with pre-eclampsia as the result.
