View Full Version : Crochet??
chrissy0718 03-05-2006, 08:15 PM I knit right now but I've been at the same blanket for awhile now and don't have much more than a scarf! It looks like crocheting is a lot quicker... I want to learn how! Anyone know of any websites that teach you how?? :D
I used to crochet many moons ago! Here are a couple of sites that might help you:

galxy8 03-06-2006, 06:20 AM I've always wanted to learn how to knit and crochet. My Mom crochets and My grandma used to knit. Both tried to teach me, but they decided I was a lost cause. LOL!
dream 03-06-2006, 06:40 PM I'm just starting to crochet again my mom does things so fast its crazy, those links do look really helpful :)
galxy8 03-07-2006, 01:08 AM I do have one of the tableclothes my Mom crocheted that I use on our dining room table. The detail just amazes me.
rosebud* 03-07-2006, 02:44 AM Crochet for dummies is a really good book to learn because they show you everything and have really good pictures. Plus they have lots of really easy patterns.
Lilithdrff 03-07-2006, 09:46 AM I remember my grandma teaching me to crochet when I was young, but I really don't remember a darn thing, lol. Maybe I'll buy crochet for dummies and re-learn, I love croshet stuff.
those look helpful! thanks!
airyn1 03-14-2006, 04:02 PM That's weird. I'm the exact opposite. I can do some basic crocheting, but I always felt like knitting looked like it would go faster.
Nakule 12-11-2006, 09:13 AM I am wanting to learn to crochet myself, I would love to make a scarf for me this winter!

LittleMsSunshine 12-14-2006, 02:19 AM ooh I've always wanted to learn how to crochet. Is it different if you're left-handed?
Jennifer 12-14-2006, 02:22 AM ooh I've always wanted to learn how to crochet. Is it different if you're left-handed?
It is, but not that hard. I can crochet both right and left handed. Check out Crochet for Dummies, also, check out Michaels or Roberts or any craft store in your area, they may teach classes inexpensively. I'm making hats right now!

At this website, Josi is currently adding videos of stitch guides. She has right- and left-handed videos.
Have fun! Crocheting is great.
