As an English teacher I would recommend everything, but more modern stuff would be Frank McCourt (he wrote Angela's Ashes), Dan Brown if you like mysteries, anne tyler is really good too (she has more romance in her books) Good luck:)

I am not much of a reader, but I did read all of the Harry Potter Books and LOVED THEM! So I guess I would say J.K. Rowling.

Definately John Grisham and Nicholas Sparks. If you like mysteries try Mary Higgans Clark's Loves Music Loves to Dance. It was very good and I have read all her books but 2 and have enjoyed them all.

Frank McCourt. sheesh there is 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again. I never could get into that book. Drove me nuts. But Dan Brown is good. For me when I want to find new books to read I will go to barnes and noble.com and then type my author into the search, then click on what other people bought to see if I like their choices. Sometimes I get good stuff others it bombs just depends.

I LOVE frank McCourt! I read all three of his books. I didn't love the last one as much as the previous two but I still love Frank. In fact my dog was named after him :hehe

I love Janet Evanovich because she's hilarious. She's tied with Dean Koontz...he writes sort of like Stephen King and he's wonderful :)
