Ok so DB is saying that I can't get on base for homecoming unless I am escorted by someone in the military. Is this true? Even if he puts me on the list to get onto base?

I would think you would be allowed to go, if he gave them your name along with his parents' names.

I know I wasn't able to get on base for homecoming when my db came back in may. I wasn't able to get an escort so they said I couldn't get on base. I ended up meeting up with him right outside of base instead. ( But then again who knows... you might be able to....)

He should be able to put you on a list that says you are supposed to be there for homecoming!!

Depends on a varity of things. Depends on the base, the security level, things going on and the like. If he is saying that then it could quite possibly be true. Maybe if you went with immediate family like was suggested?

His dad and grandpa are going to be on the tiger cruise. I hate this I don't want to have to sit out in my car for HOURS!!

Are you coming to this area (Bremerton/Bangor)? Security here is pretty tight. When the IL's were here, there had to be a military member or dependent in their car with them, even though we would have been right in the other car. I highly doubt you'll be able to get on base without an escort.

If I can have one of the other wifes get me on base would that be good? Its been about a year since I have been on any military base so I forget the things I need to have in order to get on base

If you carpooled with another wife that would probably work...

So all bases are different? Ive been able to get on to Ft. Lewis after getting a one day pass, an I wasnt with anyone with a military id.
