View Full Version : warning, foul mouth here.
MY SPANISH 102 TEACHER NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A LATENESS POLICY, EVER. WELL TURNS OUT SHE IS GIVING ME A D ON PARTICIPATION WHICH IS A FOURTH OF THE GRADE BECUASE I WAS A MINUTE OR 2 LATE EVERDAY. I HAVE TO WALK ACROSS CAMPUS FROM ANOTHER CLASS, I GO STRAIGHT THERE, HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH IS THAT MY FAULT?!??!:reallymad :reallymad :reallymad
THEN, ON TOP OF THAT, SHE SAYS "AND BY THE WAY, I HAVE MARKED DOWN YOUR HOMEWORK FROM A B- TO A C BECAUSE SINCE YOU ARE LATE TO CLASS YOU MUST BE CHEATING IN ORDER TO KNOW HOW TO DO THE WORK, ONE MINUTE LATE IS A MINUTE OF EDUCATION YOU MISS" no i am not a cheater I READ THE BOOK, YOU BITCH
SO, NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAVE TO GET AN EIGHTY FIVE ON THE FINAL JUST TO HAVE A C IN THE CLASS. WHICH SUCKS BECUASE I ALREADY HAVE 2 OTHER C'S ONE WHICH WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE A D BY THE END OF THE SEMESTER. I AM SO STRESSED, MY GRADES HOPEFULLY WILL BE A, A, C, C, D... BUT COULD VERY WELL BE A, B, C, D, D OR OTHER WORSE COMBINATIONS
i wasnt as foul as i thought i would be, i only see one swear :)
I would take that up with the Dean.
KevzQueen 12-09-2005, 03:00 PM that sucks. I'd talk to someone else.
I would take that up with the Dean.
his secretary says he is not currently accepting appointments... it is too late in the game i think. and it looks badly on me because I already have other poor grades I hate it. I realize it is my fault and i could have done better, i was a really good student in HS, but at the same time I feel like this school does nothing to make the transition easier on freshmen and also i had a lot of outside family stuff weighing on my mind. I feel like no one at this school gives a damn about the students. My political science teacher changed her mind and make the final exam worth LESS points making it harder for me to get a higher grade, i am going to have a C in that, a D in history, but i told my parents about it and I am getting that grade removed from my transcript (well i requested, i am awaiting the decision)... plus an A in my teacher education course and hopefully an A in bio, the whole grade is lab which i have a 90ish in i think and the final and one other test that I never got back :(... i am going to have straight a's next semester. the problem is, these horrid grades make me lose my scholarship and if i get academic probation i am not a presidential scholar anymore AND i cannot take 19 credits next semester, which i really wnat to do.
my advice to those girls on here that are high school seniors, GO TO EVERY CLASS.. EVEN IF IT IS A JOKE, DO ALL THE WORK, STUDY FOR AN HOUR FOR EACH CLASS YOU HAVE EACH DAY YOU HAVE IT and DO NOT MAKE MAKIGN FRIENDS A PRIORITY. i feel like i learned a valuable lesson, it just sucks and i have shed too many tears through it.
sdshorty 12-09-2005, 03:02 PM I would definitely talk to a higher up!! And she Cannot lower you grade on the basis that she 'thinks' you might be cheating??? What BS! Unless he has proof of you cheating she cannot acuse of you this. I would definitely talk to the dean of the department!
Jennygirl 12-09-2005, 05:14 PM Wow thats odd that she didnt mention that in class before...I had some teachers lock the door...I would go to academic affairs, skip the dean!
harrisonsdream 12-09-2005, 08:04 PM kick her ass....no i'm just kidding...but seriously go to talk to a higher up, your advisor, academic affairs, the department chair, the dean anyone who will listen to you...oh and make records of who you talk to and when and what day and time.
dotb182 12-09-2005, 08:31 PM I'd talk to the department chair, i had a teacher who was a total bitch like that and i went to the department chair and they made her raise the grade b/c unless she has proof of cheating i don't see how she can drop your grade, all it is, is her opinion with no backing to support it.
Purplekittie 01-02-2006, 02:06 PM eeech thanks for the advice....college next year scares me but yeah i plan on going to every class now after hearing horror stories like that
