Did anyone watch the interview with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden? I have to say, she seems sincere. I like that she spoke eloquently and with intelligence. I think Joel and the baby were the best things that ever could have happened to her. They seem really happy. I hope they make it work for them!

:yes I agree. I really think Joel is key in a lot of it, it seems like he really is keeping her grounded. I don't think she had that before. Her dad has even come out and admitted that he wasn't there for her like he should have been while she was growing up, he was out making money and trying to provide for them, not realizing that it was more important that he was home with her.

I was pretty surprised with Joel in the interview as well, I'm not a fan of his band so I don't know much about him, but he was much different than I would have expected. Much more of just a normal guy, which is sort of refreshing to see.

ETA: It does seem like she's taking motherhood much more seriously than Britney. Even before Britney had kids, when she would talk about wanting to be a young mom, it was always in a silly sort of way. Like the idea was a novelty to her or something. I still say she treats those kids like accessories.
