Teresa 08-07-2007, 09:25 AM this has got to be a joke, right??? :duh
If it is, it is a pretty sick one! Some of their "merchandise" is outrageous!
Berkley 08-07-2007, 09:26 AM Once I saw her aim at the baby in the stroller I had to click it off. What in the world is wrong with people?!?
FTCWifey 08-07-2007, 09:29 AM WTH! That is so messed up that our world has come so far that there is now a need for kevlar strollers?
USCGBoxerMom 08-07-2007, 09:33 AM That can't be real!!
brentscrystal 08-07-2007, 09:37 AM I'm speechless.
rosebud* 08-07-2007, 09:37 AM it looked fake, the dad put something in the cup holder area and also did something once he walked over to it. still it's rather sick.
Ollie 08-07-2007, 09:38 AM That made me sick to my stomach. Hope that was a joke. There are some sick people out there.
navybear 08-07-2007, 09:45 AM WTF why
mclarke 08-07-2007, 09:50 AM If it was real they will make lots of money over seas for those who can afford $600 for a stroller.
That was so stupid. So not real.
That little girl could not handle that gun like that if it was real.
Caimbrie 08-07-2007, 10:51 AM That was so stupid. So not real.
That little girl could not handle that gun like that if it was real.
I agree. The way it was moving when she was "shooting" was so fake.
ChewiesBaby 08-07-2007, 11:01 AM Given their real life experience, I can understand why they do this but it's kinda odd to be so nonchalant about it...
Welcome to Bullet Proof Baby Industries, the baby protection specialists.
I'm Stella Stevenson, Founder and CEO of BPB Industries. I've been an industrial designer all my life, and decided to establish BPB Industries when my first son, Randy, was nearly killed in a drive by shooting in 2004.
When stray bullets hit the pram but narrowly missed my son, I realised there was a gap in the market for a range of products to protect babies in today's increasingly violent society. Since founding the business in 2005, we've gone from strength to strength, adding new products to our line, and winning awards for our product design innovations.
Please note that due to recent events, demand for some of our products has been high and as a result some may be temporarily out of stock. Make sure you check back soon!
Make your baby safer today, with Bullet Proof Baby industries.
Stella & Brian
Carebear 08-07-2007, 11:08 AM The guy pushed a button on the cup holder area to turn on some sort of front shield. Then he turned it off to let the baby out. That is crazy though
ChewiesBaby 08-07-2007, 11:14 AM I feel like, if my child was almost killed in a drive by shooting and I took that experience to make products to keep babies safe... I would be proud and probably have a website about it too. Can you imagine how many lives it COULD save? Like hostage situations where gunmen just open fire. I couldn't afford a $600 stroller but if I could, I'd get that one. I think what they are doing is admirable and they obviously have total confidence in the product. The more I think about it and the more I'm impressed by it.
lilolita11 08-07-2007, 11:28 AM What the hell kinda mother would even consider letting her baby be a guine pig for that test.........
KevzQueen 08-07-2007, 12:33 PM it looked fake, the dad put something in the cup holder area and also did something once he walked over to it. still it's rather sick.
I think he brought down the walls of the stroller and then brought them back up.
That's crazy. THey could test it w/o the baby in the stroller. They're really brave or it's really fake.
Victoria 08-07-2007, 12:39 PM WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
MrsEustice 08-07-2007, 12:40 PM can you say CHILD ENDANGERMENT. i would like to know what the authorities say about this video.
tna111905 08-07-2007, 12:44 PM oh... my.... god........ WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS SHE GOD DAMNED INSANE? and why wasnt that child wearin ear protection (not that Im saying its okay to shoot at a baby in a stroller)
My friend said its a joke site but who in their right mind thinks that shit is a joke
ChewiesBaby 08-07-2007, 12:46 PM I don't think they would have put the child in there had they thought that any harm would occur. Now, that said, I couldn't put MY child in there just to test it out. This kind of stuff would be excellent for families in Iraq though, truly. I think sometimes we take for granted how lucky we are not to have full blown war on our streets. This is a tool to keep children safe and everyone is up in arms about it. I can see it making you queazy to know that the baby is inside the stroller but to me what is even more amazing is that the stroller kept the baby safe. That is an awesome stroller!!!
ChewiesBaby 08-07-2007, 12:51 PM It's probably not a real site but I still think a stroller like that would be so useful in a place like Iraq.
kiwijus 08-07-2007, 01:08 PM MY guess would be the child wasn't the first thing in the stroller. I'm SURE it was a baby doll first, and when they were POSITIVE it was safe (if this is real), then they'd put the baby in. I was wondering why the child wasn't wearing ear protection too, though.
Green~Mammy 08-07-2007, 01:32 PM OK guys calm down it is part of the movie "Shoot Em Up" It's not real, it's not a joke, it is just part of the advertising for a movie. A REAL kevlar stroller would cost a whole heck of a lot more then $599. Don't take everything so seriously please it is just advertising for a movie. If you don't like it don't go to the site or the movie.
Aundi 08-07-2007, 01:38 PM I just strongly feel this is completely fake! Even armored cars that get shot at sustain some surface damage, as well as bullet proof vests. That stroller never even moves and looks perfect afterwards.....I don't buy it:whatever
~Jess~ 08-07-2007, 01:44 PM so totally fake
Hatetank 08-07-2007, 07:12 PM THE VIDEO IS NOT REAL.
The woman is perfectly capable of handling such a weapon, but not the way she's holding it. The stock is off of her shoulder, which would result in a VERY bruised shoulder after a couple of rounds fired. The bullets leave no evidence (dust puffs, holes, etc) in the area they hit. She moves the weapon side to side to simulate weapon kick. Weapons of this nature pull up and to the right when fired, NOT side to side.
THE VIDEO IS FAKE.
The products are probably real, though. Just to a much lesser to degree than as their advertised - welcome to shock merchandising.

Haha, my husband just said something similar to that.
