Just introducing myself...my name is Jackie and I just found this site today so I don't really know how anything works. I'm 18 and I live in Maryland. My boyfriend of over four years recently enlisted in the Army. He left on July 25th and has been gone two weeks and hasn't even started basic training yet. Needless to say, I'm pretty much a wreck. I am not handling him being gone well at all.

ps: when my hubby left for soi, he had been there almost a month before they actually began their training. not uncommon. phrase you might hear too often: "hurry up and wait." :sigh it's tough. but i bet once he gets started it'll fly by. :)
