Why does it have to be so hard to go through a deployment? It is just so difficult! And i feel so alone because i know girls who have boyfriends, fiance's, and husbands in the navy but they just don't know what is going on because none of them have been through a deployment yet and i just don't feel like anyone understands what i am going through!:tears

Well, if they've never been through it, they don't understand. It doesn't get any easier though, so you just need to find ways to keep yourself busy :)

We understand...and we're all here for you anytime you need to whine, or cry, or scream! You should find out if there are women from here near you and meet up! (I know there are too)

Does your DF work with anyone that has a girlfriend, fiance, or wife? During our first deployment together I became friends with the wife of one of the guys in John's shop. Both she and I had never been through a deployment before and having each other really helped.

It really is best not to dwell on it. I know how you feel seeing people with their boyfriends etc. Every time I walk around campus, I see happy couples walking around hand in hand. I feel a little jealous of them. But you just have to remember how much you love your guy. That's the main thing that keeps me going. I feel alone at times too, especially when my df hasn't emailed me in a while. We wouldn't have the hardest job in the military if it was easy to be a military sweatheart. Hang in there.

Hey its very hard. my hubbie was on shore duty since 02 and now is on the sea duty and is out for 3 months and is home and then back out for 6 months and its hard trying to raise to little girls. when one goes is daddy on ship. and have to tell her yes. and my youngest is one on friday . so he won't be here for that. we talk on emails or if he has a bar on cell we talk that way thats about it. i miss him and hes been gone for a week now. at least you have people on here that know what your going through.

it is definetly hard....i am going through my third one right now and it blows. like the other women said, it DEFINETLY doesn't get any easier! it's a good idea to keep busy, maybe pick up a new hobby. go out with friends, it'll make the time go by quicker!
