So my 2 year anniversary with the law firm that I work for was on June 15. The only thing that I got was an extra week of vacation, so a total of 3 weeks vacation and no raise. Now I pretty much do everything in the office because my boss didn't hire the "brightest crayons in the box". Before I left on vacation in July, I requested a 3% raise, it was denied because of budgeting issues. So yesterday I decide to send an email to my boss requesting another raise but with no specified amount. The bookkeeper comes in and asks me how much of a raise I want and I tell her at least 5K. She says "how about 10%?" I said "that'll work." So she goes to my boss and tells him that I should get a 10% raise. I end up working an hour later than usual because I was so swamped. As I'm getting ready to leave the office, he intercoms my line and says he needs to speak with me. He tells me that will be receiving a 10% raise but I will get back pay to June 15. I am so excited!!!!!! :wacko :bliss :sing
