View Full Version : I think
Becca 08-11-2007, 11:35 AM Pregnancy brought Becca's attitude back. I'm spunky again...I feel like mySELF again. It's been too long since I felt GOOD. I was thinking about it last night and talking to DH about it. I'm just in a great mood now most of the time - and I haven't been - for about 2 years now. It's awesome :thumbsup I wonder if it had anything to do with my pills :thinking
harrisonsdream 08-11-2007, 11:37 AM what were you taking if you don't mind me asking and i'm glad you are back in action :)

Becca 08-11-2007, 11:38 AM what were you taking if you don't mind me asking and i'm glad you are back in action :)
Ortho-tricyclen
That's great you feel better!
I wish pregnancy made me feel like that! :lol
harrisonsdream 08-11-2007, 11:40 AM Ortho-tricyclen
my friend was on it and it made her depressed. i will never take hormonal bc again as long as i live because after the last kind i was on (ovcon-35) made me feel like i had morning sickness from hell and feel just like utter and complete crap that my grades fell nope i will never ever do it again. NFP here i come :lol
If you want to do a b.c. again, maybe try Yaz? i know your not asking for tips, lol, but it's supposed to help w/ any mood disorders (so I would think it wouldn't make someone moody if they weren't already normally). That's what I was taking b/c after having Gabby, the ring was making me bitchy. Yaz worked for me :thumbsup
goldilockz 08-11-2007, 12:19 PM Holy Hell, Becca, I was on Ortho-TriCyclen when I was married and it made me into a rolling rock of moss covered crazy.
Rileysmom 08-11-2007, 12:20 PM Becca's bringing bitchy back, yeah! :yahoo :roflmao
You know I took meds for anxiety/depression etc and stopped when I was preggo. And pregnancy was like a miracle drug for me. I did get emotional, but for the most part, I was calm, relaxed, and happy! :tu
Jennygirl 08-11-2007, 12:24 PM I didnt like the regular stuff but i like the ortho lo...it even worked better than the yaz did for me...I had no side effects at all!
KDMatthews 08-11-2007, 12:27 PM I feel the same way in some ways. I definately think I'm less anxious and more calm. I was also on Ortho-Tricyclen.

I used to take that too, and hated it!
I'm glad you are feeling more like yourself Becca! :thumbsup

Thanks for the advice. I've never heard of Yaz, but I had just stayed on Ortho after my nightmare that was depo.

Yes, Depo did that to me it was horrid. But I think the ortho might have just been really subtle or perhaps just so gradual I didn't really notice.

Becca, it could very well have been the pills.. I was on ortho tricyclen for about a year and it made me crazy.. DH couldn't stand to be around me when I was on it... After DD was born, my OB prescribed the Low dose one, and I didn't like myself while I was on it.. It was really strange. I went back to my dr. and switched to Yasmin.. it's the most tolerable BC I've found.
Glad you're feeling like YOU again!
Jennifer 08-12-2007, 11:06 AM yay
SIMMYBABEZ 08-12-2007, 11:13 AM Woo Becca found her mojo!
I know what it's like to lose it. I lost it whilst I was in Germany. I found it as soon as I got here, but it's kinda going again. It'll come back when I'm settled.
Glad you're feeling good hun!

Thank you for the info. I didn't know so many of you ladies had issues w/ ortho.
You know, that thing is...it was so gradual. When I was on Depo back in the day, it was CLEAR that I went on depo and became spawn of satan. With the ortho though, I almost wouldn't have even noticed, were it not for the way I feel now, if that makes any sense at all.
