heya! was the statue of the sailor kissing the nurse one one of the bases in SD? i'm going there this weekend and if it's there, i really wanna go see it! TIA!!

It is actually in a park right next to the Midway museum in downtown SD!

Its really cool.

I heard on a harbor tour that we only get that statue until like Jan or feb then its moving onto another place to be on display.

ya its by the midway. I was there for the unveiling. It was really neat. I got to see the nurse whos in the picture. The statue is on loan to the city. Im not sure how long. Its really cool though. Its HUGE!!!!

wow that is SO cool you got to be there and see her!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm SO jealous. do you know what it is called? i tried searching for the kissing the war goodbye statue and got nothing :lol

anyway i am SO excited to see it!
