what, if any, types of academic projects intimidate you?

i'm a research assistant for a professor and i was really excited about it until i realized i would be ghost writing his report for him. i feel paralyzed every time i start trying to write because i'm so intimidated by the level of work that is expected and the people who will be reading it!

OMG it's Andrea!

Writing any kind of publication intimidates me. That, and the PhD thesis because it's so big!

For me it's still the math classes. I should be done with my degree by now, but am nowhere close because I've been avoiding math like the plague :(

i try not to let myself get too intimidated with anything
if you're getting all nervous i suggest reading a ton of this person's material, learn the way it flows the more you recognize patterns the less intimidating it will be
good luck!

That's a really good idea!

For me, it's the projects where I have to talk to people, whether it be a speech, or if I have to go out and do interviews, anything interactive with strangers.

Plop me behind a desk to research or write, with no conversation involved, and I am a happy camper.

I can see how this would be intimidating though. I bet you'll do great! Good Luck!
