View Full Version : Sigh(pregnancy vent/whine)...
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 07:14 AM Whats sleep? I was up every hour walking out my hip pains and it didnt help...I put my hip belt on and it didnt help. I took some tlyenol and it didnt help...I took a hot shower and it didnt help.
I think i need to call the ob today, I dont want to have to take a unisom every night cause that cant be healthy.
I have been doing some thinking, cause they said labor is hard on your hips, but if im having bone issues with my hips, im scared about having this baby the normal way...DH said at our last class he wants to do it the normal way, but im just thinking about my health.:sadeyes
dannysgirl004 08-14-2007, 07:38 AM I hope you can find something to make you feel better. What has your Dr. said about your hip pain and having the baby natural? For your health and the health of the baby maybe it will be better if you have a c-section.
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 07:53 AM they dont really have anything to say...they at first didnt believe that I was really in that much pain, they thought it was muscle, as did my husband..But when they learned it wasnt no one has anything to say...LOL i love this health insurance...
I am going to call them today and see what they say. Sunday night i got up to go to the bathroom and fell into the wall cause i couldnt walk.
define 08-14-2007, 08:19 AM I'm not pregnant and I'm wondering the same thing.
I hope you get some sleep and start feeling better.
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 08:22 AM I am going to be draggin butt this week, luckily we only work three days this week.
dannysgirl004 08-14-2007, 08:26 AM How much longer do you have till you can take maternity leave?
Kaymara 08-14-2007, 09:05 AM Hope you feel better. In answer to your question I really have no idea what sleep is :lol
Caimbrie 08-14-2007, 09:17 AM I have real bad problems with my hips and the actual labor/delivery didn't make it worse.
Becca 08-14-2007, 09:19 AM Jenny when are you due?
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 09:59 AM October 7th-14th LOL between there I guess...
I dunno what to do...If i had a baby and it was up I would be fine, but when my bones are grinding and i cant walk, im having an issue...

Just remember, after you give birth your hips arent going to miraculously feel better. You're still going to hurt for at least a couple weeks after :(
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 10:29 AM She told me they may never go back to the same way...Espically if I brestfeed cause of hormones or something. So I am prepared for that.
*~*Cori*~* 08-14-2007, 11:02 AM Oh Goodness :(
I hope you can get some relief soon. :hugs
Mommy2Bailey 08-14-2007, 01:49 PM Maybe ask for some better pain meds and some better sleep meds. There is other stuff they can give you. If not I would be thinking about another DR
Berkley 08-14-2007, 01:56 PM :hugs
I'm sorry :( If you feel as tho you're OB right now isn't listening to you or doing the best thing to best care for you. You can ask Tricare to switch you to a diff provider.
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 02:07 PM I just hate calling there because I get the same "there is nothing we can do for you" line, and then I feel like I become a pain in the arse.

Thats gotta be bullshit. There is something they can do. Stronger pain meds at the very least. Dont be afraid of taking them. Take them when you need to.
perhaps go out on disbility now and spend your time relaxing your hips/finding more comfortable positions
?

That would be an awesome idea. Only a couple more months till your due date. And you have said your DH wants you to stop working. If your dr wont do anything else for you you have to do for yourself.

You are SOOO not a PITA!! If you are in alot of pain and the meds they gave you arn't working and you are having to take alot of them that cannot be good for the baby! You need to have a doc who will listen and care and help you out. When I was pregnant with my son I got sick. Not a little morning sickness but HORRIBLE morning sickness. I couldn't keep anything down I was really really dehydrated it was awful. My doc was like everyone throws up get over it and didn't want to do anything to help me. I complained to Tricare got a new doc and found out that I have hyperemisis gravidum (spelling) and I'm allergic to the hormone HCG he prescribed me medication to help me stop throwing up and helped me out immensely. With the previous doc I lost over 30 pounds IN ONE MONTH! Which according to the first doc was normal. The 2nd doc was horrified that the 1st doc let it get that far. My point is at least in my case it payed to "be a PITA"
Pregnancy does that to your bones, so that's silly they would of just thought it was muscle (unless there is more to your "condition" that we don't know about). My hips hurt terribly and to tell you the truth, they still hurt to this day :( I thought it would go away after I gave birth b/c the hormone isn't releasing the "relaxin" or whatever it's called that makes your bones soft, but nope...Still hurt & would still pop! I still had problems getting out of bed or up from the couch.
Labor didn't hurt my hips though...Hell, I was too focused on the painful contractions and than that almost 8 lb baby coming through which hurt like a mofo' :lol Your hips are spreading getting ready for labor (& the baby's laying on them, obviously), so your body is doing what it was made to do.
I really don't understand why you haven't stopped working to just SEE if that would help your pain? but you know what also...the more I laid around, the more the bones "got stuck" and hurt. So you can't really win either way.
Just part of lovely pregnancy!
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 08:45 PM Actually my leg is now was longer, my hips are not in the socket all the time, and instead of going the way that most peoples go in pregnancy mine went the other way.
Im calling them tomorrow sigh...
Jennygirl 08-14-2007, 08:47 PM Oh and i had a problem when i was growing up...it got corrected with "special" shoes and such and its coming back.
My pt dr said that most people she sees just have muscle issues and mine are super rubbing bones
