BOSTON -- A Rutland, Mass., boy and his family can laugh now, but it wasn't funny when the 10-year-old got locked in a safe at a Worcester wholesale store.
Daniel Jancura, 10, went to Sam's Club with his mother, older brother and cousin over the weekend.
The three children were playing with a 5-foot deluxe model gun safe on display at the store when Daniel decided to get inside. He then became locked inside and it took 30 minutes to get him out.
The safe was locked before the kids started playing with it, but they just punched in the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 for a combination and it opened.
Because they had played with the combination too many times, however, it locked and it took a half hour for the lock to reset.
The store has taken the safes off the floor.
