Burien woman is recovering after being attacked by three dogs Wednesday.

The house in the 13200 block of Third Avenue South had a "Beware of Dog" sign, but it didn't protect the woman, who has not been identified.

That's because the pit bulls and german shepard were loose.

The staff of a vet hospital up the street had seen the dogs and the woman, an employee, went to put the dogs on leashes.

That's when they attacked her. A neighbor helped the woman get into her gated yard and called 9-1-1.

The King County Sheriff's Department shot and killed the german shepard when it attacked a deputy.

The two pit bulls were captured and are at an animal shelter.

Yeah, the article isn't really full of detail :confuzzle Were the dogs "loose" but still on their own property or loose and wandering the neighborhood? Don't get me wrong - I feel bad that she was attacked either way but would like more info on what took place.

exactly. if she wandered onto THEIR property to leash them then i don't feel as badly because she put herself in a bad situation. if they were roaming the neighborhood i feel worse for her because it was a wrong time wrong place thing. don't get me wrong i feel bad she was attacked but if she invaded their "territory" then there was some misjudgment/misadvice somewhere
