Which potty do I pick??

OK so my son will be 2 next month. He is showing GREAT interest in using a potty. Sometimes he tells be before he goes poo poo. Other times I ask him if he went and he will tell me yes. Anytime he hears or sees the toliet flush he says "bye bye poo poo."

I need advice.... what is the best way to potty train? Is it too soon?

Which is the best potty??

I saw one that is pretty cool. It sings songs and makes sounds. ANd when you want to you can just plop it right on the regular toliet. I am ALL for that!!

What are your thoughts???:puzz

I know a friend of mine in Hawaii had a potty bench and her kids loved it, even my kids wanted to sit on it all of the time.

I've heard about the ones that play songs and stuff but I don't recall any opinions. We just have a boring ol' plain one.

we got one of those fancy ones and Aaron didn't want to use it..he wanted the one just like daddy so we wasted all that money, so in the end we ended up getting just one of those seats that you just put on the regular seat and got his a stool and he loves it and he gets to flush the normal toliet just like daddy too! We just let him pick out what he wanted..at grandmas he has backyardigans and here at home he has elmo..lol

Neither of my boys ever used thier potties. They both had nice expensive ones and ya know what.. we ended up buying step stools and seats for the toilet. It's easier for you too. Just let him do it as he wants to. I pushed Alex and it took forever.. I just let Cameron do it on his own time and he's been FULLY trained for a couple months now.

Jaxon didn't really take much to a potty seat, he liked being a "big boy" on the "big people" potty. However, we did have one and when the independace of the potty kicked in, he like it cause he could go when he needed without telling anyone, until you heard him yell that he needed his hiney wiped.

well, I just got back from the store and I just bought him this $15 nothing fancy little potty. If he likes it great, and if not oh well it was just $15.

I also bought him this elmo potty book that has sounds. He played with the book the whole way home. But I doubt he got that it was even about a potty. But at the store he kept pointing to the potties... "mama potty potty."

This one you can actually take the little seat and put it on a regular toliet. ALthough I am not sure how stable it is. If I see that is what he would rather do I will buy him one of those baby bjorn seats that goes right on top of the regular seat. They look sawesome but are a bit pricey. We'll see.

my son is 2 also and we are working on the potty training thing... i have a little one that sings and is pretty fancy but HE WONT EVEN USE IT!! he uses the one that mommy and daddy use. but yea, if he's already talking about it.. it's time to start... at least trying!!! my son is very hyper and has accidents all the time so it's really hard for me. but just be patient. in my experience, i think boys are harder to train also...
