How long did it take to him from the DH after leaving for Iraq?? I don't know if its different between the branches but I still would like to know.

He called when he got places if he could (like Germany and Kuwait), but sometimes it can take a week or so.

It usually took my DF about a week or so. A lot of it would depend on how long he was stuck in Kuwait...and what was going on while he was in Kuwait.

one of dh friends who is getting out that was in the same unit said it took him 3 days, then one guy said 2 weeks......i will feel alot better until i get that first phone call. I got my house phone forwarded to my cell phone just in case. :)

that was a good idea so you definitely won't miss his call when he does.just remember keep yourself busy and you will be amazed at how things progress. :hugs

well he called me from maine before they left and then he said he'd try to call me from kuwait if he could...he never did, and i heard from him on feb 15, he left on feb 7. best/hardest phone call i ever got!! so i say usually anywhere between a few days to a week or so!
