This is one of our local stations down here and if they are anywhere close to being right Dean is gonna be coming quite close to Corpus. But I do know anything can happen with the change in the winds and direction it can take but I am sure none of us want to take any chances and we need to be prepared. Heck I would be happy if the thing completely died out.

Corpus is definately right in his path.. Y'all will be fine except for flooding, and some strong wind.. and of course because it's Portland, you'll most definately lose power.. lol. We lost power everytime it rained down there.

Good luck ladies!

well if its gonna be really bad like a 3 or 4 then I am sure we will evacuate but since we dont know what its gonna be yet its hard to tell but I do know that if its a 1 or 2 we should be able to stay here.

stock up on your supplies now just in case becasue people will be going NUTS if they say it's coming here jsut seeing how nuts people went when we had to boil our water was enough for me. DH and I just went today and picked up some more water to have in the house in case we need it.

oh yes most definitely we have a red cross hurricane kit and we just bought a bunch of batteries and some water too. we have a grill to cook on so thats good and we have coolers for ice too and then there is always canned foods too. I am sure once we know more we can figure out the food part later. I am trying to remember what all I did when I went thru Hurricane Isabel back in 2003 when my hubby was deployed and it was just me and baby Robbie. our power was on for most of that day but then it did go out.
