Do you know any "safer" dyes that I could use in a few weeks to get rid of my terrible roots? Should I ask my doctor first? I already was reading online and got some tips, but I wanted to see what you ladies thought.

I did, but kristi was right it didnt really stay eventhough it was perminate ( i get it from sallys)...I am going to wait until after i have the baby to do it again.

i put highlights in my hair when i was pregnant with dd, i just got one of the kits from wal mart.

I did it professionally after the first trimester. My beautician wouldn't do it during my first trimester. I go red so it always fades fast. Every person is different, though. My hair didn't grow extremely fast whin I was pg. Good luck!!

YOu can after your first trimester. I waited until my third trimester to dye it. Also if you want to do it and don't want to have any worry, you should use a vegetable dye. Basically something that is non-permanet. Maybe amonina free

I dyed mine in my third trimester, but I dont trust the boxes :giggle so I did it professionally.

I had my hair permed while I was preggo. It was the nicest perm ever. I never had my hair dyed while pregnant though.

When we did ours I wore a mask and I had my DH do it for me.

I dyed my hair and just put the vent on in the bathroom and he turned out okay.

I did mine. I just get the boxed stuff from the store and had a family member do it. We had good ventalation so the smell wasn't bad. I asked my doctor first and she said it was no problem.
