I'm sorry I am asking so many questions this morning. :blush
For those that have taken Clomid...
1) Did you have late ovulation? Or was it around CD 14-15? My dr told DH and I to Baby Dance starting on CD12 and do it every other day... I hate every other day. I am sure it is more effective and the drs do know best, but skipping a day sounds so dreadful when you are TTC and actually ovulating...
I have read a few stories off TTC forums that alot of woman on Clomid ovulated later like CD17 or later.
I go back to get my blood drawn on CD 20 to see if I did ovulate.
Would they be able to tell if I am pregnant then??
Because she was like you have to take the provera 10 days before you want it to start but that would but me taking the Provera around CD18 (she was trying to make me have 28 day cycle)and that would kill my baby if I was pregnant. I got confused there... Because if you wait to see if you are pregnant or miss your period then you would be taking the Provera around CD 28 or so making it really late. Oh that is confusing... sounds to me that I should just wait and see if I am pregnant and if not then take the Provera. I just don't want to take the Provera and happen to be pregant and it not show up on a test yet... Im so paranoid about misscarrying already with all this(she said it was really touch and go with patients like me :sadeyes) and if I selfinflicted that on myself I would go insane...

and also...

2) What if any were your side effects?
Did they start when you were actually on it or after you were done?
I have heard it happening both ways.

I am on Dose 3 of the Clomid today.
Side Effect wise I haven't really had that much of any.
I have been pretty emotional and really bad mood swings yesterday. I was crying one minute about things and snapping DH's head off the next. I felt terrible.
And I have been just a little light headed but nothing major.

When I took Clomid I didn't notice any side effects. I took Provera BEFORE my first cycle of Clomid (to make me start a cycle) but my doc just said that if I hadn't started a period after about a month after taking the last dose of Clomid to come back and they'd test me before giving me Provera again, basically they are making me come in before each prescription for provera to verify that I"m not pregnant.
I'm not sure what day I ovulated on, we just took Clomid and then after the last pill started baby dancing every other day (sometimes every day). But it was while he was home on R&R so we weren't gonna pass up too many opportunaties to BD.
I haven't went back yet, I took some hpt for about a month after he left to go back overseas and all were negative. I have started a couple periods on my own, but not in the last few months. I plan on going back to the doc when he gets home, getting provera to jump start me, and then taking clomid again. So, I'm not sure about when you can know for sure if you are pregnant after clomid before taking the provera again.
I'd probably call and ask again, my doc was great about me calling her alot to ask questions.

Side effects mimic early preg symptoms. Sore boobs, irritable, tired, hot flashes, dried up my CM which is why I used robitussin etc etc. I called it my bitch in a bottle.

I ovulated cd 16 with clomid. I would have sex every other day starting on cd9. Every other day is just as effective because it takes sperm 24 hours to swim up to meet the egg. If you have sex TOO often it actually can LOWER his sperm count.

As far as finding out if you are preg on cd 20. That would depend on when you ovulated

Im worried that I am going to ovulate on my own (since I started my period on my own and my temping/charting last month look like I did ovulate)and then have the Clomid make me ovulate too... Oh well... I will be happy to know I ovulated and right now I don't care if it's triplets :lol

I wouldnt worry about that ;) multiples on clomid do happen but arent as common. your increase to twins is like 10%, triplets is like 3% increase

When my dr was giving us the rundown of the "chances of having multiples" DH's eyes got big as saucers and I thought he was going to fall out his chair :lol
But,like you said 10% isn't that high.
I asked him last night what he would do "if" by some miracle we did get pregnant with twins and he said... WE WOULD HAVE TWINS :P I don't think that it bothers him that much now as it did when she first told us. lol

I got pregnant on my first round of clomid. I ovulated on CD 17...got a BFP 12 days later. I was pretty moody on the clomid and had hot flashes, but thats about it! GOOD LUCK!
