Thats great Bec. I dont want to waste the money on an electric pump yet. With DD my milk never came in, no matter how much I fed her or pumped. So we have a manual for now and if I can breastfeed, we will look into an electric!

I found one for 99 bucks, and I might just get that one, there were also cheaper ones at target...I dont want to get a super nice one and then not be able to breast feed.

well, you don't have to BF to use a pump... but i catch what you're saying.

i had a 'cheap' pump (electric) as well and it did crap for me :(

that's why i'm actually going to pony up the $$ this time around.

I had a duel medela and it was the best thing ever invented...I had a cheap one first and it didn't work worth a damn and WIC set me up with family first and they got me a medela free to use since I was having a hard time producing milk and it worked great so the whole time I was BF Aaron I got to use the medela...it sure saved me alot...I highly reccommend them thats for sure!

At the very least Jennygirl, even if you can't breastfeed, you can always pump and give it to the baby in a bottle. The more expensive the pump, the better it is. Every lactation consultant in the biz will tell you this. I have the PISA and it is responsible for keeping my milk supply up since I have to work all day and Anthony goes to daycare. Any less of a pump, and I probably would have lost my supply. And at any rate if you fork out the $$, and don't wind up using it, you can ALWAYS sell it. There is a pretty high demand for the things, especially if you buy it cheap at Hackley and then sell it unused and get your money back.
