View Full Version : I'm curious,
Callie 08-18-2007, 10:38 PM What method of childbirth are you ladies going to try to use? lamaze, Bradley, etc..
I had planned on taking lamaze and never did, but I didn't have any problems. The nurse told me exactly what to do and it worked perfect.
*Crystal* 08-18-2007, 10:41 PM Im having a C-section so no method here. With DD though, I just went with the flow!
CoffeeGirl 08-18-2007, 10:43 PM with ds, I used Lamaze but with dd I just went by memory from the 1st time:yes:giggle
With my second I used a lot of techniques from the Bradley method and loved it!
harrisonsdream 08-18-2007, 11:29 PM going to use deep breathing, changing positions, hopefully showering during the beginning part of labor, leaning on dh as a support, so i guess alot of bradley method
msdarbonne 08-18-2007, 11:33 PM I used none. I just did what the nurses told me to do and it went beautifully, with the help of the epidural, of course!!
fridayheather 08-19-2007, 12:07 AM I had a c-section but I didn't even bother taking any of the classes beforehand because I figured one way or another, the baby was coming out regardless of what classes I took. The next one will be c-section also so I'm not bothering with classes again. :)
Nickschic 08-19-2007, 12:12 AM I didnt take any classes either just did what I was told to by the nurse and It went perfectly fine. I also had an eppi. And I plan on doing the samething this time around.
MichelleB 08-19-2007, 12:16 AM I used the "GET IT OUT NOW" method :rofl
I just went with the flow and everything went really smoothly!
sandykay 08-19-2007, 12:24 AM I used none. I just did what the nurses told me to do and it went beautifully, with the help of the epidural, of course!!
Epidural is a must to me. For inducing labour, I used walking, sex and castor oil.
Green~Mammy 08-19-2007, 12:48 AM I did the Bradley method with Darian and it worked VERY well. I would of delivered him just fine if he had not gotten stuck in the birth canal the pain of my labor was not bad at all. My first birth was very calm & it was a good experiance even with the e c/s. My second birth was a scheduled c/s and it was awful.
With my first I was induced he was almost two weeks late but other then that drug free until the surgery so I labored all day & most of the night and then pushed for an hour steady then the surgery. His head was lodged in the birth canal. He had a crease in his forehead for two months! The pushing was squeezing his head.
mara_jade81 08-19-2007, 12:13 PM I never did any style of birthing, I just went natural and used what I learned in the class I took before I had Madison for pain management techniques.
Berkley 08-19-2007, 12:16 PM I didn't I just did what felt natural. Of course it didn't matter b/c he was c-sec. The 2nd was c-sec and so will the 3rd.
footstepswife 08-19-2007, 12:22 PM I didn't do any of them, I wanted to take classes but when they offer them I had to work. LOL
aubrey 08-19-2007, 01:29 PM I read up on Bradley but sorta did my own method. I ended up not wanting DH to touch me at all, so having him massage me or anything didn't happen. I just wanted to sit there and breathe slowly and moan through the ctx on my own.
BLBnJVB3 08-19-2007, 02:44 PM Breanna: Went with the flow. I knew I would get the epi. but didn't plan on it so soon.
Johnny: Planned on natural. I didn't plan on lamaze, Bradley or anything though. I just planned on winging it. However, once I got that first contrax after they broke my water at 6cm. I was done and pleading for the epi.
Evan: Planned on going with the flow and at some point getting the epi. However, I didn't expect to have to be induced, to go so fast once I started to dilate, and then the epi. not work so I felt every little thing.
Ashnbri 08-19-2007, 03:10 PM I did the breathing, wanted to do natural so I wanted to try walking and shower but they wouldn't let me so I ended up getting an epi because just laying there did not help one bit with pain lol......for getting him out I tried everything so i had to be induced.
Daphne 08-19-2007, 04:19 PM i didnt use any method ...just went with the flow on both of them and didnt use anything stronger than regular pain meds no epi.
