Hello everyone!
I have one quick question since I'm still so new at all this. He's currently stationed in Iraq and he called for the first time since he got there last night but he used one of his friend's phone cards since he doesn't have one. Where do I get them? How does it work? :confused And does missing him get any easier since for the last few days all I want to do is cry especially knowing that he's unhappy! He's there until June and I miss him like crazy!! I guess just hearing his voice for the first time in three weeks last night even just for a little while was amazing...5am phone calls are so worth it if it's him calling

You can get a phone card at Target, Wal-Mart, most grocery stores. They aren't toooooo expensive, but they're kind of pricey.
It gets a little easier, you just have to find ways to keep yourself busy.

Is he you DB or DH? If you aren't a dependent (married to him) you can get the card from this page Phone Cards (https://thor.aafes.com/scs/default.aspx), it's for civilians to buy phone cards. Otherwise if you are an authorized exchange customer, there is a link to go to on that page for purchases. ;)

My hubby found it was a lot cheaper and the phone cards lasted longer if he bought them from the exchange over there. Maybe your man can get one on his own. We sent him some and 2250 minutes turned into 100+, and those were supposed to be international. Also, he may be able to get access to the internet, and he can use a program called skype which cost just pennies a minute.
As for getting easier, it doesn't. But you get better at learning not to let it dominate your mind and keeping yourself busy.
