i know that there are many ladies here who have lived or are living abroad due to the needs of the military, but have any of your studied abroad through your university or college? what was the best/worst part of your experience?

i did a semester in Rome. aside from my dh, it was the most wonderful experience of my life. i highly recommend it. you learn so much and have such unique opportunities...traveling....the food....the culture....the art!! (i was a painting major) the worst was getting homesick. i didn't think i would....until about the 3-month mark. but it's still worth it. and i am fortunate because my family & friends were able to visit on a few occasions.
