View Full Version : Cell Phones in Kuwait? Jen113007 08-20-2007, 10:13 PM Really? I have heard some people talk about their SO's texting them while in Kuwait. Does this really happen? AmyandTim528 08-20-2007, 10:54 PM My DH is there on a 12 month remote and he calls almost everyday. We email constantly and he has sent text messages using Sprint. Our cell phones are Sprint and you can text on their website. Hope this brightens your day! Jen113007 08-20-2007, 10:58 PM My DH is there on a 12 month remote and he calls almost everyday. I have Sprint and he has Nextel! Ekk! I am uber happy now! He said that he should be able to call and email daily! I think he is totally ok with this deployment since we can stay in contact so much more than when he was in Iraq! And, he is going to an Army base and he has never been on one before, silly boy. He is Navy, served with Marines, hates Marine bases and is excited to experience an Army base. Hehe. :) AmyandTim528 08-20-2007, 11:08 PM Where my DH is, half the base is AF and the other side is Army. He is on the AF side. He is enjoying where he is. Very much like any base you would have here in the states. All the luxuries of home, just half a world away. PM me and let me know where he's going to be or if you have any other ?'s! Twink 08-21-2007, 12:02 AM yep, its true. DB has cingular and his phone works over there. we text all the time and have the occasional phone call (the international rates apply even though its his normal phone and number and such and the rates for calls are rediculous but texts are still same as normal here in teh states). Turtle2_6 08-21-2007, 02:47 PM Me and DB are able to text but it costs like a dollar all together, thats sending it out and recieving one back. Which is nice once in a while but the international charges with cingular is rediculous... |
