This is my first homecoming (Monday) and I was just wondering if you ladies brought any gifts or anything to the homecoming?

I am going to pretty myself up, so I thought that might be a gift in itself. But I know that if the roles were reversed and I was coming home to him, he might have flowers or something. Does anyone bring any "gifts" like that for the D's homecoming?

And if not "gifts" per se, do you bring anything? Flags, signs, etc.? We are both single, no kids, if that helps narrow the advice.

I am so excited! And I'm sorry if this wasn't the appropriate place to post but I'm hoping it was.

I didn't go out and buy him something special, but I fixed an amazing meal for him and our families (who both came out for the homecoming). DD and I did make him a sign to hang on the fence and 2 posterboard signs for inside the hanger.

I think him seeing me in my new outfit and knowing it would be on the floor later was the biggest present of all :teehee

I agree on the meal... and then you, wrapped in a big red bow (and nothing else!)

When he came home after the 6 monther, (it was late feb.) I left the Christmas tree up and we had Christmas when he got home.. So he got gifts then. Other than that it's just big hugs and kisses from myself and DD.. his favorite things in the fridge, some comfy lounge pants for him for when DD's awake, and a special outfit for me to wear for him after bedtime...

me and my friend bought balloons the last time, but their plane was soo delayed and we were so nervous and excited that we lost one, popped another, and forgot about the rest.. she also had a card for her dh, but left it on the table when we found out the plane landed and we went to stand outside. :blush sometimes it best to leave stuff at home so you know he will get it

Dh is going to be getting home right before Christmas(if he doesn't extend) so I'm going to have our house all decorated to the teeth-it's his favorite holiday:P I'm also going to put up a HUGE banner in our house(or outside-haven't decided yet) that says welcome home and have a bunch of his favorite food in the fridge, with some great food already cooked and waiting. I was thinking about a cute little outfit, but it'll come off anyway, so I'm just going to make sure I'm wearing cute undies!!! I also made a T shirt that says welcome home and I love you!
