Yeah my mom didn't want to find out the sex of me so she just "knew" she was having a boy ( bought boy clothes, picked out boy names etc) when I popped out she said she was basically like " WTF do I do with her.. lol" So Shannon is the first girls name that popped into her head lol

My name is Ellen Doreen, but I go by Dori (short for Doreen).

I was named the lady who set my parents up (Jean Ellen) and another of their close friends who died shortly before I was born (Doreen Kelly). I guess my mom just liked the nn Dori so that's what I've always gone by.

I (L) that name- I have already decided to name my daughter that if I ever have one :lol It is my grandmother's name, my aunt's name and my best friend's little sister's name. My family is big into family names- I am Mary Gwynn after my other grandmother but she goes by Mary and I have always been Gwynn.

My middle name is the same as my grandma's

my first name came from a book my aunt was reading, and she called my mom to tell her about it because at the time it wasn't that popular of a name (chelsea) my middle name is luceil, after my maternal grandma, shes 93, im pretty proud to have her middle name although i used to hate it because it's so old fashioned. she even changed the spelling of it to hide the fact that she was jewish!
