Are your children named after anyone?

Emily is named after my great grandmother and her middle name, Reid, a last name from dh's family. His great great grandfather's last name was Reid and the town of Reidsville, NC was named after him.

Noah wasn't named after anyone, but his middle name, Barrett, is after my ancestor, the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Our son's first name (Conner) was picked by my husband who got the name off the Highlander movies (i.e. Connor Mcleod). We just changed the name from Connor to Conner. And his middle name (James) is my husband's middle name, so we wanted to pass that onto him.

My DD's name is Lauren Elizabeth, Lauren was the only name we could agree on, at all! Elizabeth is my grandmother's middle name (L)

ETA: Lauren means Roman symbol of victory, we liked the meaning too..

Corran was named after a Charecter in a StarWars book. But means spear carrier in celtic. My BFF hubby picked his name. They have a daughter named Mirax. And in the book Mirax and Corran are married!

Plus we were really at a loss and couldnt agree on a boys name!! I wanted to name Corran Odin but i got the ax on that one...lol

I just liked the name Aiden, but his middle name Jon is a family name, I just spelt it with out the h, and it is also my DH's name shortened (Jonathan). Heath, we just liked the name too (plus Heath Ledger is Aussie like me) and his middle name Christopher is my brothers name and husbands middle name.

My sons name is Zachariah Matthew... both names came out of the bible. I couldn't think of anything else that I really liked

DD is Jessica Katie, my DH's name is Jesse so we named her after him. I liked Katie(the only no family name) from my fav movie Gone With The Wind. DS is Thomas Donald.(his Dad Thomas my Dad and Grandfather Donald).

Ericka's middle name, Faye, comes from both mine and my husband's side of the family. My grandma's 1st name was Faye and it is also my mom's middle name. On dh's side of the family, both of his grandma's names are Faye :lmao His sister has a daughter with the middle name of Faye as well and was a little p.o'd that I used the name for Ericka but I knew my whole life that my daughter would be named after her grandmas.. I just had no clue there would be so many!

Nathan gets his middle name, Lee, from my husband.

DS is Matthew Clay,his first name is ex dh's brothers middle name his middle name is from the ex's grandfather.
DD is Brenna Michelle , I just liked her first name and her middle name is after my sister.

Our son's middle name is after my father in law, our middle daughter's middle name is after my grandmother, and our youngest's middle name is after my mother. Their first names are just names that dh and I agreed on.

My son is Cory William. Cory just bacause we liked it. William because my mom sat on our couch and begged us. Its a family name and I didn't know that. We were going to name him Cory Evan. I like William though IF we ever go crazy and have another child I like the name William as a first name but it would just be weird.

My daughter is Lily Anna. I liked Lily and I told John if we ever had a girl I wanted to name her Lily. Anna is after his sister. Hmm now Im thinking about I have no idea why he wanted to use her name. Oh well Its a nice name.

My DD is Adalyna Renay.I always knew I wanted to name my daughter Adalyn but my Dh like the sound of it better with the A at the end and Renay because it went well with her first name and few names went with the first.

My Ds is Michael John Jr. He is named after his daddy.It was what he wanted.

I hate to say it, but my daughter is named after the show Reba.. well her daughter Cheyanne.. and Elise just sounded good.

My DD is named after my paternal great grandmother. Her name was Mae, so my DD's middle name is Mae. Had she been a boy, her first name would have been my great grandmother's maiden name: Coltrin. We both liked the name Camryn because it's Irish (it's a feminine spelling for Cameron) and fits with our last name.

Breanna: she has my middle name, Lynn.
Johnny: named after John. He is the 3rd.
Evan: named after John. The welsh form of John is Evan. He is also named after my dad. Evan's middle name is my dad's middle name, Michael.

our son is named after dh's fav uncle, and his middle name is for dh. him and ds share the same middle name.. he didn't want a jr. the girls aren't named after anyone.

Ok, we don't have kids yet, but have names picked out!:P

Our daughter will be Evelyn Grace-the E is a spinoff of DH's great grandmother's first name, and Grace was my grandmother's nickname

Taylor is John's middle name. And her middle name Kathryn is a family name on my mom's side. My mom and her aunt both have that middle name and I wanted to keep it going.
