I spoke with some one just for info I wanted to see how many classes I needed and she basically wouldnt tell me. she said that I need to go through her to find out if I am the right person for the school. All I wanted to know was how many more credits I needed for the bachelors and how much it cost. all she could say was $56,000 for the BSN. I told her I don't need to start from the beginning. I have my associates. I told her I will think about but I am going to shop around. But she called and called all hours of the day and night left messages, emailed me even after I told her no thank you. Dont let them pressure you. they are sales people on a comission I bet.

I was going to attend classes through Kaplan but they're quite a bit more expensive than going to state universities. Online would be easier for me but the money is a problem. They called so often that I wouldn't answer my house phone half of the time b/c they're obnoxious! I've been told it's a good school if you do attend but that's if you can get past them hassling you 24/7...:suspect

I actually have my degree from Kaplan and it was a wonderful program. I know the tuition has gone up since I went there, but at that time it was equivalent to what I would pay at the University of Hawaii for the same program, where were living at the time. I did get several grants and scholarships to minimize my tuition costs out of pocket.

I would just make sure that if you decide to attend a speciality school (2 yr, business, etc) that you can take those to a 4 yr school...Most of them do not transfer over.

:yes Have you decided what you major in? If you want to attend a 4 year college immediately afterward you may want to consider getting your Associates in Arts or Sciences so that ALL of those classes transfer any other major program you participate in at MOST 4 year schools the major classes for the Associates are not accepted. Good luck with it and congrats on your decision to further your education. :hugs

I am going for the Business Administration Associate Degree then transfer over to a four year University in whatever state he is station for Recruiting which he is trying to get North Carolina or in San Diego. So this is the cheapest that I've seen....its 29,000 for 18 months and I was paying 23,000 for one year at Campbell University so I think I'm going to do this program.

Also, I'm looking at financial aid I qualify for a bunch of military scholorships.

$29K for an Associates!!! Wow that is alot! Is there a local community college that you can go to? They are usually alot cheaper.

I was going to get my BSN from Kaplan. It costs an arm and a leg but you're paying for the convience of online classes. I took one class then dropped it. I realized that I am not an online class type of girl so off to sitting in class all day for me.

My brother earned his degree from National and it worked well for him and his schedule. You can work fulltime then do the classes and work at night.

I worked for a local vocational school here in San Diego that is owned by Kaplan. University of Pheonix has a thing and they will accept all credits earned at any Kaplan school.
