Has anyone tried it? Does it work well? We just moved into this house and the dishwasher is nasty looking inside. I've never seen a dishwasher look like that. I need something to make it look better!

yes it does work. run it through once on normal cycle. then when its done just run it on rinse. then you can redue it again if needed. but i do it atleast once a month in mine

As an alternative, my mom told me that powdered Tang mix works well as a dishwasher cleaner. You don't have to worry about cleaner getting on your dishes if there is any left.

Ya know I think I just read some thing about kool aide can do it too I;ll have to try that first.

I tried it last week - I had a coupon :D I thought it worked fine - I mean, I wasn't blown away or anything but it's not like my dishwasher was filthy :dunno . I would buy it again though - I'll probably run it every 3 months or so.

When we first moved here my dishwasher was FILTHY! The worst I had EVER seen. I seriously thought it could never be cleaned. Oh man, it was bad. Whoever lived here before us, obviously didn't really care, or try to clean it.


I tried tang in mine, and it did nothing. I did find some stuff at the dollar store that worked excellent though. I forgot the name of it (I think it was lime something??) It's in a green bottle.

Jet dry worked OK I guess. I prefer the green bottled stuff though.:)

I use vinegar in mine once a month or bleach

Doesn't that (using Tang or Kool-aid) make you go - Hmmmm...what's that doing to my kid.... LOL

i dont give my kids kool adie any more we have packs because my husband and I use to drink it a lot but now we drink crystal light. Its so much better and when it gets spilled its not sticky!

When we moved in my dishwasher looked yellow on the inside and had a lot of rust spots...we used the Dishwasher cleaner and the yellow went away as did almost all the rust spots...and boy did it smell good!! We are definatley going to get this more often!!
