We are in DC. Hubby works at the Navy Yard and we live in Navy housing at Bolling AFB.

I work right by the Navy Yard at the Marine Barracks. I live so close to woodbridge I could get there in 15 Min. Im excited to know I live near some of you!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls I am heading to Andrews before Thanksgving!!!!! we got that word orders are to be in in DH's hands no later then tuesday! is woodridge full? and I am legally blind as well.................... so we have to be where i can get to and from places.

I am on another Military Support board called Cinchouse and we do monthly get togethers. It is typically the 3rd Saturday of every month and it is always at a different place and area around DC.

This month is Sunday October 14th in Richmond. We do it in Richmond some times so the ladies from Norfolk/VA Beach can attend. It is at Buzz and Ned's BBQ. It is hands down the BEST BBQ around. It is southern style. I don't even like BBQ that much but I LOVE their ribs!!!!!

It is at 1:00 PM.

Awwww....I'm driving to Ct. on Sat. am. to meet our movers (just got here) So, this weekend is out for me. I'm near the courthouse area and still getting to know all the places here. Were you talking about the Tapas place past the Crate N Barrel? There's a wine store right around that area that does tastings, too. Have you been there??? I haven't but love doing that kind of stuff!

So, there are a lot of gals in this area. Anyone wanna take the reigns and start some kind of get-together's?? I'll help, but my knowledge of the area is limited. Oh, and did I mention I hate to drive here!!! I pretty much walk everywhere, so I don't drive as much and my skills and patience are weakening on the road!

mmm tapas and sangria sounds good! i unfortunately scheduled my finals for THIS WEEKEND (sat and sun, ugh). i realllly wanna have a g2g. i've been browsing around for something fun to do. sucks that it is cold out now. i'll let you know if i find something!

Okay, here's a better more specific question, does anyone want to go bowling this Saturday at the Fort Myer Bowling Center? It's cheap, and they've got food for fairly cheap prices as well. I need a more accurate count of everyone who is for sure going. If need be also, for those who are a little further away, if you're comfortable doing this, we could set up carpools or even set up a specific place to meet and ride up as a group. If anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to those as well!! Just let me know what everyone is comfortable doing!!! Thanks!!!! ~Shana

I want to plan a wine and cheese gathering! I want to have some, "get to know you games." You know, just some interaction that lets us build friendships and help support each other during deployments. My building has a few gathering rooms we can use for the occasion and I'm right in Arlington near the Courthouse & Clarendon metro. I'd like to have it at the end of January. What d'ya think???
