Is anyone else's SO with the USS Green Bay? It's still being built in Maine but I know a lot of the guys are doing training and such in SD.

Anyhow, Jason's orders got changed :sigh :sadeyes He was on the Makin Island but since he made rank, they changed up his darn orders. Now it looks like he's going to be doing schooling here for about two months, then he could be gone for a year or longer depending on the ship's schedule :( He will probably go to his 2nd school in Norfolk, then he goes to meet the ship in Maine. No way in HELL will I go...not after the move we just went through :no and it'd only be for about 6 months or so if I did go. So, we're staying put but he'll be gone about a year probably so I'm just trying to connect with other spouses who have a loved on on the same ship.

So sorry he got his orders changed so soon. I am glad to hear that at least you will get to stay where you are and not have to pack up for Va or worse GL. :lol ;) Good luck with the new ship.

Thank you Amber :D We wanted him to get released to the regular detailer so he could just take a ship here but the darn precom detailers wouldn't let him go :mumble
