well, kind of...

All you preggos, do your hubbies seem excited? Over protective?

I know my hubby's been super busy and getting ready for deployment, but I just want him to hmmm...how to say without sounding like a spoiled brat...I would like him to pamper me more. Or just be sweet about it, get excited, talk about it more, touch my belly. I realize I'm only 14 weeks, so maybe it will sink in to him more after we go to the big ultrasound, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed, especially since he wasn't around for our son's pregnancy or birth.

Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

The more I show, the more my dh acts excited about it. I think it's hard for men to perceive it as a real thing without actually being able to SEE it, KWIM? It's still like pulling teeth to get a foot rub out of dh though. :P Of course, right now I am not getting any of that with him being gone till October. Try talking to your SO and letting him know that you are wanting these things.

Wait until he finds out the sex or sees an U/s if he hasn't already..then he will go crazy..:lol. My dh kept saying it wasn't real until he saw baby and found out what gender. Then he was all you can't eat this and finally started doing stuff around the house and cooking more.

You have every right to want to be pampered more. Maybe when you start to show more he will be more excited. Tony gets super excited at times and then other times I think he gets sick of me talking about the baby.

I agree - also, many men go through some serious anxiety issues about fatherhood, etc and this is one way it can show.

He is super excited and super overprotective. It's great and also slightly annoying at times, lol.

DH is really excitef, especially since this is our first. But, he is gone, so it has been pretty hard on him. He calls or texts every day to see how I am or if I need something. He is taking care of me from a far and it is very sweet.

He will be home a few weeks after the baby is born, so I have a feeling when he gets home I will get to sleeeeeep. Lol, he will want to help do everything! :)

DH is excited and especially more after he started going to my appointments with me. He is WAY to over protective. But he doesn't really pamper me much more then before.

My DH started getting more excited once we found out we were having a girl, and gave her a name. Plus, the more I show, the more excited he gets.
