How do you feel about all the movie remakes going on the last couple of years?

I personally can't stand a lot of remakes. I feel like it's a director/producer/writers scapegoat of trying to make something new and exciting. Just drives me crazy. Like with Halloween, maybe I am a stick in the mud again but why in the world did they need to remake it? The original was absolutely scary as hell they didn't need to tweak it with today's 'gore' affects that have taken over the horror industry. :banghead

I agree!! I hate it when they remake classic movies. Most of the time IMO they just wreck it...kinda like when bands try to remake classic songs, they usually end up butchering it and it irritates the heck outta me.

For the most part I'm not really into the remake movies. BUt there have been a few good ones.

Some of the remakes are ok but some have ruined a good movie. I love rob zombie tho and I love the orginal halloween. So I will watch this one too!

All the good movies have already been made. I have seen the new Halloween. Rob Zombie stuck with the original for a lot of the movie. But he added a lot about Michaels childhood which in my opinion was a good thing.

While I LOVE old movies, the remake of The Thomas Crown affair with Pierce Brosnan was much better then the Steve McQueen version!!!
