My parents will be here at the end of october for a week and a half. I want to baptize the baby when they are here, so do you think thats too early, considering im due october 7-14th?

I never understood the concept of baptizing before the child can CHOOSE to allow Jesus into their hearts, as they are considered innocents and would be heavenbound until they can make that decision, but maybe that's just in my specific branch. What branch of C are you?

Well I was Catholic and am now Episcopal(sp?) cause i converted to DH's religion and in both ive seen it done on babies. Though i agree with you, religion is very important to my DH, I would wait but I dunno when they will be coming back out here again.

No, that's not too early. We had ds baptized at 4 months but I have cousins who were batized at 2-4 weeks.

I know our church will do it but it might have to be on a friday or a saturday when they usually just do it during the service!

It wont be too early. My nephew was about 6 weeks when we baptized him.
