I went into L&D just to make sure the swelling & spots were nothing to be concerned about (thats why I was asking about that term b/c thats what the nurse had said), which my results came back perfectly fine and the baby's hb's were great too!

I'm glad I did go in though b/c at least now I have an idea of what the room and area will look like when it's time to give birth. We went on the tour last night but it was unusually busy so we didn't get to see a birthing room and that.

I was also VERY happy to learn that the epidural they will be giving me is the controllable kind...So instead of just a shot in the back, I"ll be able to control it if I'm starting to feel any pain. That helped relieve a lot of the "pain" worries I was having. I have heard too many horror stories about how the epidural wore off and blah blah.

So, even though my circulation feels like it's being cut off :mad & I see spots & shadows, nothing is wrong.

We got to see an u/s of her moving too :D

I'm glad everything is good, Rach!

The epi will have a button you can press that gives you a little bit of extra meds :D You can only press it once in 15 minutes :P
