Hey ladies I think Robbie swallowed some string yesterday and its trying to make its way thru his system and he is trying to go number 2 and i just thought he was trying to go normally but he seemed to be constipated and when I went to check on him to see if he had gone and I was trying to help him wipe I saw some stringy looking thing trying to come out so i tried to gently pull on it and it seemed like it was causing him pain.



I dont know what to do and I am trying to call the clinic right now. If this has happened to any of your kids what did you do.

DO NOT PULL - if you can't get an appt ASAP with your PCM take him to urgent care/ER -- the string may well have become wrapped up in his intestines and could cause SERIOUS damage.

I would call the DR , you dont wanna mess with the intestine track. Try the DR, they'll tell you what to do, but im sure he'll be fine.

Oh I hope he is ok... I don't really have anything to say but take him to the doctor. :goodvibes

well it wasnt alot because I was gently pulling it out and it wasnt that long and its all out. I just told him never ever ever put string in his mouth ever again and thats why mommy and daddy keep telling him not to put string in his mouth. I think he learned his lesson. He probably just put a tiny piece in his mouth or either it was balled up and the majority of it came out in his poop and just that little bit was left.

yeah me too. I wasnt sure how much was in there but hopefully it all is out of him now. I just didnt want to have to go take him in if I could do it myself. I even was trying to call the dang appt line and they were all busy and i didnt feel like being put on hold either.

oh he is fine now. I just cant really get him to eat much this morning. maybe he is afraid to eat much.

Wow, I'm glad he's ok! That probably scared him away from wanting to eat string anymore. How scary.
